In this passage, we discuss the importance of apologetics, but also the need for a parallel living of the Gospel to bring more people to Christ. We can do this by living a life of ambitoius faith.
Apologetics should always have it’s place in a Christian’s life
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled
but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect
so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

Some people will not accept the Gospel by any human action or speech
Once a person deliberately refuses the Word, there comes a point when he is deprived of the capacity to receive it.
We should constantly live a life that reflect’s Jesus, ie. ambitious faith
