Over the last few weeks we looked at Jesus’ death burial and resurrection.
Today we look at how this effects the life of mankind.
Specifically a man named Saul
He is transformed by the work of God in His life even though He was a murderer and enemy of Christians.
Saul is completely changed.
He goes from persecuting and killing Christians to becoming one of the greatest Christians to ever walk the planet.
If God can save Saul, God can save anyone.
Your background does not scare God.
All that is needed for salvation is for you to repent of your sin, humble yourself and trust in Jesus for your salvation.
Not only does your sin not scare God, but he in fact wants everyone to come to repentance.
We cannot fathom the love God has for humanity.
It is so much deeper than we could even imagine.
It is not a reciprocal love like ours oftentimes is.
He is willing to save you today.
Just acknowledge you are a sinner and repent.
Know that Jesus is your way of salvation.
Jesus came to save sinners
Jesus is in the business of transforming lives
You do not have to be a good person before God will save you.
Thats the whole point of Jesus.
God sent Jesus to save the lost just as they are.
This man that is sick of the palsy is healed by Jesus just as he was.
He did not have to do anything in order to receive cleansing from Jesus.
All that is required of you is repentance.
To turn from your ways and follow Jesus.
You are not too far gone, you are not too bad, you are exactly the person Jesus wants to save.
Do not think for a second that you are past the point of no return.
God sent Jesus down in the midst of our mess to make us clean before God.
Trust in Jesus for your salvation just as you are, and you will become the person you were always meant to be.
Was Saul, a murderer, someone that you would consider to be a good person?
Do you ever feel like you aren’t good enough for God?
Do you think
Have you ever repented of your sins and trusted in Jesus for your salvation?
