Christmas in a verse.
“Fear Not”
Because of sin, fear is mans default state.
The Spirit of the world, which is the spirit of authority over every person who has only been born of the flesh, that is a Spirit of Fear.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Even, they experienced that horrible spirit of fear for the first time, and they have passed on that same spirit of fear to every one of their children, grandchildren, great… down to you.
Christmas is God finally telling us that we dont have to be afraid anymore.
“Good tidings of great joy”
“I’ve got good news that gonna bring you great joy”.
This is a very interesting part of the verse, because its one of the few parts of the bible thats almost” subjective”.
Now what i mean is that this good news should produce great joy.
But i have found many people who only experience some joy, or moderate joy, even some that experience no joy!
How is this possible?
Well the amount of joy we experience is directly proportional to how much we believe that the news is good.
If you thing the news is kinda good, then you gonna kinda have joy.
If you think the news is ok, then your joy is gonna be ok.
If you think the news is borning, then your joy is gonna be borning.
So what is the good news?
Paul experienced this great joy!
But he leaves a hint of how in this verse....
When Paul looked in a mirror what did he see?
Did he see a good man who although he failed, always did his best?
Did he see a man who might have made a few mistakes but had a good heart?
Did he see a man who was was rough around the dges but had a a heart of gold?
No, what he saw was the sinle worst sinner in existance so much so that if sinners had a champion, it would be him.
Now wheather or not Paul was actually the worst sinner on earth is not importasnt, what is important is that in the eyes of Paul he was the worse sinner on earth.
And because he knew he was so bad, that made the news so good, and because the news was so good, his joy was so great!
Its a very intresting dynamic where God reveals and rewards humility.
The wrose you know yourself to be, the “gooder” the news bcomers, and the “gooder” the news becomes the greater your joy is.
wish i could show you just how bad you are, becuse that would show you how good the news is, and then you would all expreience such great joy.
isent it intresting that the only thing standing between you and great joy is your reluctance to see youself as you truly are?
PRIDE.
“As you walk through the gates of Hell....
“Which shall be to all people”
There are a group of people who bucher scripture to make it say that Jesus only came for some people, to save some people, to only pay for the sins of some people, that slavation is only for some people.
My bible plainly tells me that this joy and good news is for ALL people.
Jesus Himself said that eternal life is givin to Whosoever believers in His name.
]jn 3 16-17
The bible tells us plainly that the when Jesus died he paid not only for the sins of some, but for the sins of the whole world.

“Is Born this day, in the City of David”
The events of Christmas are not fairy tale and mystry.
They happened on a centan Day, at a certan Place and History book confirm this.
History books confirm the reign of Ceaser, they confirm the date of the cencus, they confirm the roman occupation of Jerusalem, they confirm the mass murder of young boys by Herod the great.
The bible does not take place :”along time ago in a galaxy far far away”, like the true fairty tale - evolution.
“A Savior”
This is what Jesus is.
A saviour.
He is not a life enhancer, or a life improver.
Jesus is not good teacher or a mighty prophet.
Jesus is not a good man or a martyr.
We must never strip the gospel of its power by portraying Jesus as anything less than he actually is.
Her is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
And He came to save sinners from their sins and from the consequences of those sins.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift is eternal Life.
