The Need For Peace
No matter what struggle men are involved in, and no matter how much men enjoy their struggle, there always is below their labour a wish for peace, a sense that peace is the final and ideal condition of all things.

People were afraid of God
The Peace of God
While at times the shepherds in the Christmas story have been labeled as the ones who were a bit rough around the edges and living on the lowest rung of society's ladder, Jesus describes Himself as being a shepherd who has great responsibility. There is no greater responsibility than holding the life of another in the control of one's own hands. Protecting the life of others was the responsibility and calling of the shepherd.
A Different Kind of Peace
The Peace of Jesus is our Peace - make Peace between Mankind and God
Prince of Peace
Fourth, He is the Prince of Peace. The term “prince” does not refer to the son of a king, someone who has royal position but no royal authority. This prince is not a king-in-waiting. Instead, the word designates a ruler, a chief, or an official with the power and authority to administer. Daniel 8:25 uses the term to refer to God as the Prince of princes, a superlative expression meaning that God is the absolute Ruler, the most authoritative Ruler that exists. Here the term applies to Christ as the Sovereign Administrator of peace. Embodied in this title is His whole work of salvation whereby He removed the impediments to peace, harmony, and fellowship with God. He is the reconciliation for His people to God.
