okay, get it up here or

it's a this morning and I understand you had your cantata and I'm sure there's a blessing and how many of you saying in the cantata you had fired in? Okay, very good, and I talked to Sally before the service and she said y'all all our children are good when they saying none of them are waiting to do their mama. Think about Christmas. We see a baby in a Manger a newborn baby, but that baby didn't have a beginning there as we come to Hebrews chapter 1 verse 8 SS but under the sun he say if they throw know God is forever and ever accept our righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom Ellis loved righteousness and hated iniquity. Therefore God even thy God has anointed a with the oil of gladness above thy fellows and a lord in the beginning as lay the foundation of the earth. And the heavens are the work of thy hands. They Shall Perish, but that we remain honest they show all wax oldest us a garment and is the best your shelter fold them up and they should be changed. But that wear the same and I years shall not fail. I want to speak tonight on The Eternity eternity of Christ and of God, we talked about it last Sunday evening. I was here in about how God is a Triune being a try personal three persons in one being something that we have a hard time wrapping our minds around because we only know unipersonal people one person one being with God is try personal and the qualities of the father and the qualities of the Sun the qualities of the Holy Spirit the attributes as we see Logan's call them are the same and God the Father the Son the Holy Spirit are Eternal and I want to spend a few moments tonight considering what that means. Is that while Christ had a beginning in Bethlehem. Where on Earth is God became flesh it. He is the Eternal God God is eternal his unchanging it says the how are the same and he never changes. He never grows old. He is the same forever and I want to look first at the qualities of our Eternal God. Number one. God has no beginning that's hard for us to consider. God always was I had no beginning now that's hard to get into conceived. God says my ways is Heavens are higher than the earth. So are my ways higher than your ways. We all had a beginning but God had no in the beginning. God had no beginning and philosophers had to figure out how this world got here. They are the ones who don't want to believe in God they try to figure out what about this world in and they conclude the matter is eternal that the matter was always hear. The problem is there's a law of nature that's been discovered to call the second law thermodynamics. And it says everything is getting more disorganized morph random that is a term entropy is increasing. It's getting more and more and it eventually somewhere down the road. The energy of the universe is going to be all dissipated and the universe that have what they call the heat death. It's not really a hot one, but the heat of the universe Evenly spread out all available energy would be gone and and the Earth should be about four degrees absolute scale of 4 degree hemington way way real cold and they the universe have died if it were Eternal I would have already died matter can't be Eternal lyrics anticipate anticipating this to have next year or the next day or the next Thousand Years. They've talked to the talking about billions of years, but still it for Eternal everything would have would have disintegrated everything. They've been down to see in every time you do something I use up energy and there's just less available energy and availability long time. But it couldn't last forever in the present universe. So something has to be Eternal and that something is God God is eternal and said the beginning of this universe was not the big bang for a bunch of matter got together and was compressed and in and then exploded in the universe came out but the beginning of the universe was God in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth say God has no beginning without about the Eternal God II God has no end. 7 Hebrews chapter 1 verse 12 the last part of it says that years shall not fail. There's no ending. I've been around for 73 years now and maybe I'll be around here while longer but on my Earthly life is going to somewhere. It's going to him know. I have God gave me turn live. I'll be with him forever and heaven but God has no end got Jesus and he will never die. He's not dead. Listen to that. I heard the carols that Heard the Bells on Christmas Day and and God is not dead nor. Does he sleep the wrong shall fail the right Prevail peace on Earth Goodwill to Men. I'm glad that God isn't dad and he's not on life support. He's not sitting back taking it easy. God has no end. There is a red there again in Hebrews 1:10. Now Lord in the beginning is laid the foundations the Earth. The heavens are the work of their hands. They Shall Perish, but that will remain at least they should all wax oldest us a garment and Sylvester shelter fold them up. They should be changed but Thou Art the same years shall not fail. By the way. That's a statement of that second law of Thermodynamics. Everything swearing out. Everything is waxing. All this universe is getting old but God isn't he will not change. He is not going to where out Thou Art the same day. You shall not fail. Show me talk about the qualities of an eternal God. We realize he has no beginning he has no end and then 30 is not limited by time. God is not limited by time in 2nd Peter chapter 3 in verse 8 2nd Peter 3:8 we read but beloved be not ignorant of this one thing that one day is with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years as one day is he a God is not limited by time. We are that God created time for us. We have days and weeks and months and years. Those are times that God is established and and we are limited by time but God isn't limited by time. He is eternal. And I hate to him yesterday his the same as tomorrow. There's no there's no limit God isn't it doesn't have to go through that time and 6s it. Then he sees the end from the beginning. He knows what's future as well as he knows what's present and what was past and end so we have a guy who's not limited by time. In fact God created time. Genesis 1:1 in the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth and they are so South form and void and darkness was upon the face that deep in the spirit of God moved on the face of the waters. And God said let there be light in or sliding and God called the light day and and and the dark he called night and then the session of the evening and the morning were the first day. You see before they want before Genesis 1:1 there was no Universe here. There was no space no Heights and depths and there was no matter if there was no time and God existed in a Timeless situation, but when God created the universe, he not only created space he created time and a place to send that time construct and day one God created time. And God is not limited to that time. He should Beyond it. In fact a day will come when when her time old will be no more Winks when when we won't be in eternity in always say when we've been there 10000 years. We going to be counting years. It will be free from time will be in each row. Time won't matter it'll be if you love never ending, but and we will not no longer be limited by time. God is not limited by time. And then we find is God is eternal. He does not change their in Hebrews 1-12 and said Thou Art the same as the universe so they shall be changed in the heavens and fold them up and they'll be changed but Thou Art the same zaire's shall not fail God is the same as Eternal God. He doesn't change two periods of time T is the same in Malachi chapter 3 and verse 6. God says, I am the Lord I change not Malachi 3:6. I am the Lord I change not the guy doesn't change in his nature. We talked about how God is a spirit and and God God is always spirit and know the Son of God the second person of the Triune God became flesh but he still is Spirit. He didn't give up his deity is nature is God. He took upon Him human flesh. The the Trinity that relationship of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit is an eternal relationship. It wasn't that at Bethlehem. Jesus became the Son of God. He always was at the resurrection. He was declared to be the Son of God, but he always was God the son and they're always was and always will be God the Father God the son and God the Holy Spirit. Not only is God's nature Eternal but his character is eternal. God's holiness doesn't change to Decay and their morals and their character goes down and and those of us who've been around a few decades say, hey, it's not like it used to be a moral decline. But God doesn't change his Holiness is still the same John Rhoda 2222 Millennium ago, but still loved the church and gave himself for it and he still loves the Church of Saved Sinners. God is love is still the same as we can. Depend upon his love and he is unchanging God acts different in different situations and put his characters consistent when it seems that God acts different one time. And another that difference is not God. The difference is is is is that the circumstances or you just might say you will dr. Lauder doesn't the bible say that God repented. I can Genesis 6:6 that he repented that he made man seem like God changed his mind and I know it wasn't God changing. It was the circumstances changed God had to deal with men who had rebelled and and in Macedon thoughts for the hardware only evil continually and God had to wipe them out and start over again with no one in his family, but God is The same until we see the gods the qualities of of our God our of our Eternal God, but one look at the bounties. Of our Eternal God. What a blessing to have a God who is eternal God is this is eternally stable. God has an internal stability Hebrews. 1-12 again says Thou Art the saying we have a stable God that's interesting as the Greeks would make up their gods and the Romans made up their gods. Their godson have temper tantrums their gods where I would be may be very strong. But yet very moody. They would have they would make up their gods to be like them and emphasize the qualities of man. And I emphasize their strengthen them emphasize their their their weaknesses as well. But God the god of the Bible is the same we can depend upon him. You say God doesn't is not growing up, you know Jesus he was born as a baby and newborn baby. I don't know. What is wait was 7/8 pounds per half kangaroo look tells us and wisdom and stature and favor with God and man Hayden stayed at seven or eight pounds. He grew and Grew From a baby to a boy to a teenager to a man. He can go in wisdom this a human being in the human sense. But as God. Doesn't go up God's not making progress know the Mormons they teach that God was once a man. And and he's progressing to he progressed to become a God and and and has his world of children. And it's a Mormon man is and does what he's supposed to do he can go and he can become a God and that's the goal of Mormon managed to become gods and then produce Spirit babies throughout eternity is that would the population of another world, but they believe in a God that's growing that's amazing and see some pretty smart people leaders and and politics and and business education that actually believe that and they believe that it has one day. They're going to be garden and they'll have many wives and Heaven Too, by the way, they more months and their Temple they'll have marriage ceremonies. In and they're not married for now that they'll get married fraternity. And so these Mormon Manual of Mary all kinds of at ceremonies to marry all kinds of ladies so they can have their polygamist be a polygamist God and have all these spiritual Vern and populate another planet and its really rather strange Doctrine how many view where were aware of that have been aware that in the past and a few of your head up? And so what's the what's the goal of a Mormon woman? A goal of the Mormon woman is to be eternally pregnant and especially be constantly bearing children Spirit babies. And in the spirit babies, then they become human babies when they when they were joined in the human body, but their spirits come from the Mormon God and us they they would say they are children of their heavenly father told me it when they talk about being Children of the heavenly father than not talking about our heavenly father. They're talking about their God. That's that's in charge of this planet and is producing Spirit babies. They're literally child of their Heavenly Father their language sounds good and and they use our Bible terms The Twist them to mean something different. God is eternal. He's not growing up. He's not making progress and he's not he's not be coming at greater God. He always was God. That's only this God not grow up from God doesn't grow old. There's no there's no progress in God. He's not growing up. There's no decline in God is not going old. He's not slowing down. He's not becoming senile. He is not sitting back and his rocking chair, you know kind of well, I get all this work and create the world and I shouldn't back and and and you know, I'm getting old now. His eternal and he's not old now in my picture. In fact the Bible does it talks about the Ancient of Days having hair white this white. Those are you say Human terms to describe an eternal God it's hard for us to picture a turn ality. But God who doesn't go up doesn't grow old and he doesn't grow weary. God is not growing weary, Isaiah chapter 48 verse 28 and says hast thou not known hast thou not heard that the Everlasting God the Lord the creator of the ends of the Earth faintest. Not neither is weary. There's no searching of his understanding and see God doesn't get weary. Sometimes we get weary weary sometimes Monday afternoon. I saw this last semester at a 7:30 class Monday morning, and then I had a couple hours to intensively prepare for the rest of the day and then it had Class at 11:38 lunch quick and head of class set to 1 and class at 2 and and and had a couple hours till class at 6 or 2 hours till 7:45 and I get through about 4 in the afternoon and I will go home and take a nap and then get some energy back so I can make it through my evening class without without dragging. I don't want to go into class half dead, but I get lyrics and I just have to say hey, I have to I have to take a break take a nap take a power nap. That's that sounds better than and I get some energy back so I can finish the job site afternoon. I was weary and put my head back on the recliner and I Sound out and I needed that needed that energy for tonight, but God doesn't get weary. If ever made pray this or heard someone pray this Lord if you'll just answer this request, I will never bother you again. You know, how I'm just one time give me this request and I won't I won't bother you anymore. I got isn't bothered by our request. He wants us to come that's not the way I pray that God doesn't want to say okay, I'll take care of you. Now. I don't have to worry about any more. God is glad to answer our prayers. He's he's glad to hear us. He wants our fellowship. He wants us to come to him. He created us for fellowship. And God is not weary. Your prayer doesn't bother God. God doesn't grow up because and grow old he doesn't grow weary. He doesn't grow impatient. God's mood doesn't have mood changes. He's not irritable or touchy God is so you don't have to wait until he's in a good mood to ask him for something. No. No God is longsuffering. God dies judge the wicked, but it's not because of his moods because she does what is right and when a person continues in their sin, and he knows their heart and knows where they're at. And and finally they cross the line me he deals with some but the God is not to nut Moody's not growing impatient. And so we have a God who is eternally stable is not growing up is not growing always not going lyrics he's not growing impatient. There's only this God have eternal stability. God has a ternal sovereignty ever stayed of Hebrews 1 ton of the sunny says Thai Throne o God is forever and ever a scepter of righteousness is a scepter as I can get them noticed these vs. This versus address to the Sun to Jesus Christ the son of God and to the son. He said that I Throne o God is forever and ever hears a clear declaration that that that Jesus Christ the son. Is it God and as God, his throne is forever and ever a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of his kingdom. God is King. He is ruler. He is Sovereign over this universe. He is in control of things are bad. Things are happening on this Earth. A God is not up in heaven standing up there ringing his hands in worried that the circumstances are out of control. God is eternally Sovereign his throne is forever. And ever when we talked about the sovereignty of God some say well, that means said in a God chooses us. When do we say this in to be lost? No, that's not what it's and that's not what his sovereignty is meaning. He rules that he gave them in their Free Will and he said whosoever will may come and her and then I'll come and he has chosen to all who would believe in him is that he would take some to heaven and and he would give them eternal life, but he gave man that option of trusting in the Savior, but God is in control. I left turn back the song to for a moment the second song very powerful song one that I think of often in some too. And I especially when I get to feeling like I'm out being overwhelmed and and I can maybe wickedness is triumphing sound 2 verse 1 says why do the Heathen rage in the people imagine a vain thing? You see that he's in a rage against God the people imagine a vain thing the Tower of Babel. They imagine they could build a tower that reached under Heaven A vain thing empty verse to the kings of the earth set themselves. The rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed saying let us break their bonds asunder. Let's Cast Away their cords from us. I hear is rebellion from the highest man on Earth against the god of heaven, but notice the response of God and verse for he that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh. The Lord shall have them in derision. Then Julie speak under the him and his wrath and Vex them in his sore displeasure to see our Eternal God will it rain in is raining he turn late. He's on the throne. And those are rebelling against him are not threatening his sovereignty. They're not going to drag her down from his throne. He that sits is not standing pacing or a ring in his hands and Heaven. He's not he's not the scared. He's sitting In the heavens and laughing how foolish that mere mortal men think they can overthrow. The Eternal God is say he is God and His Abraham talked with God about sodomy said she'll not the judge of all the Earth do right and he is a judge of all the Earth and he will do right as we see corruption and our government on and we see the Deep State at work and we see men taking power. They shouldn't have a we maybe and then what's going to happen, but God's on the throne and he will do right the wrong shelf a on the right Prevail. There will be peace on Earth. Goodwill to men Monday Christ will come in he will rain and he will make things right? No, maybe these Wicked people may I never be prosecuted by human authorities? But one day they'll stand before God and in God will judge every man according to his works and and Justice will be done. He's the one who reigns forever when the angel announced to Mary the birth of Jesus in Luke 1 and he shall reign shall sit upon the throne.
I'm sorry. I'm getting it wrong when I get half. Look at Luke chapter 1 verse 33 you probably saying it today and then he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there shall be no and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there shall be no end house mix in that verse with Revelation 11:15 or says he shall reign forever and ever see our Eternal. God has Eternal sovereignty. He will reign forever. And then finally we see our Eternal God has Eternal and gives eternal security in the book of Hebrews chapter 5. In verse 9 we read at being made perfect. This is Christ. How is it made? Perfect. Not in his Holiness but by his suffering and then they perfect he became the author of Eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. He see author of Eternal salvation is C. He doesn't give temporary salvation. He gives Eternal salvation. Who's the author of Eternal salvation? It's not a temporary fix. Okay, I'll trust the Lord and He will give me temporary salvation until I do something wrong. And then I lose it and then I made another temporary salvation never have a confidence that the truly saved and on my way to heaven, but he's the author of E. Salvation, you know John 3:16 God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life ASAP when I trusted Christ as my savior he gave me not temporary life and gave me ever lasting Life The Salvation it is is eternal salvation. We have everlasting life is our possession when we can live like the devil, you know, eternal life and I don't know how you can just go do whatever you want. You're on your way to heaven. No, that's not the way it works. You. See you see when Christ He saves us from our sin the angel told Joseph and the dream call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their send out when we truly are saved and we were saved by trusting Christ. And the faith is one side of the coin repentance is the other side of the coin because he saves us from our sin and repent of our sin and put our trust in Christ that there there's a transformation there and God changes us and in 2nd Corinthians 5:17 says if any man be in Christ, He is a new creature old things are passed away. All things are become new is see when we put our trust in Christ. He not only gives us eternal life, but he changed his house. He makes us a new creature in a person who's not been made a new creature. There's a question today really trust Christ cuz if any man is in Christ, he said new creature now that doesn't mean the moment a person saved everything is different is immediately its endless know. I know he battles but there's going to be a change. He's a new creature. I like to illustrate by the difference between a lamb and a pig a pig in the Old Testament the economy was Clean if you take a pig and you give it a bath that perfume on it tie a bow around its neck and and make it all pretty and turn it loose it's going to go find the first mud puddle a confined and then jump in why because pigs like mud puddles you take a lamb and you clean its of Will and and if it's sometimes slams there will get all mad and dirty you clean it all up and that lamb is not going to dive in a mud puddle. He might fall in a mud puddle but he falls and he's miserable because he doesn't like his forgetting off as will getting all mad and yucky and he's going to miserable now cuz he's a lamb. Christian's may fall into sin. But if they're saying they're going to be miserable and I can enjoy as I got her and they're not going to enjoy the mud puddle. They're they're going to be miserable in the mud. And and and because there are a new creature that I've got a new nature a different nature and an end. So that eternal life is not a license to sin because we believe and we we will be like him for will see him as he is and every man that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure sine. I want to see Jesus Jesus my Savior. I'm looking forward to being with him. I'm going to be like him all the sin will be cleared out and gone. But because I have that hope I'll purify myself. I want to be like him now as I will be like him. Fraternity and so my eternal God gives us eternal security. It's a blessing to have an eternal God. I God who had no beginning or end. It was not limited by time. I God who doesn't change God who is stable eternally not growing up not growing old not growing weary and not growing impatient that God was eternally on this throne in a God who gives us eternal security. It's a blessing to have any Eternal God and we can rest in him and be confident in him and in Riata love him and serve him and praise him and honor him with our lives and introduce others. The him I think might know and find Eternal salvation and our Eternal God was spell for prayer father. Thank you for the time in your words meditation upon God. We we feel like we're just scratching the surface when we discuss our great God Lord, we pray that you will be honored honored in what has been said that honored then by Our Lives as we give our Allegiance in our loyalty in our love. To the God who created us the God who saved us the God who loves us. We thank you for your goodness in Jesus name. Amen. When does singer closing him? 93 293 200 God will take care of you. Good good song to sing if you have business to do at the altar it's open and let's rejoice in the fact that God will take care of us 293
