Pre-section Questions:
What does the author expect that they all have a knowledge of?
The Old Testament.
Why is this important and who cares?
Do you have a decent knowledge of the Old Testament?
What are the authors’ 2 main goals?
To elevate Jesus as superior to anyone or anything else.
To challenge the readers to remain faithful despite persecution.
Section I: 1:1-3
What is different in how God speaks to us verses before?
Do we need prophets anymore?
What religion is this not leaving any room for?

Why don’t we need a priest anymore?
What does it mean to reject Jesus and His priesthood?
It means to reject being fully reconciled with God.
