There Is One God
There Is One God
4 Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah:
8 Do not fear, nor be afraid;
Have I not told you from that time, and declared it?
You are My witnesses.
Is there a God besides Me?
Indeed there is no other Rock;
I know not one.’ ”
5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
How, then, do you explain the Godhead?
How, then, do you explain the Godhead?
Jehovah refers to Himself in a plurality (; ; ).
The Bible refers to the Father as Jehovah (; ).
The Bible refers to Jesus as Jehovah (, with ; with ; , with , ).
The Bible refers to the Spirit as Jehovah (; ).
So, IF the Bible says there is one God - and it does.
AND, the Bible refers to three Persons as God - and it does.
THEN, the Three Persons MUST be One God!
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
Acts 17:29
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
The One true and living God is Three Persons possessing the One Divine Nature (the Godhead).
