Our heart is the source of our feelings, thoughts, intentions, and our sense of condemnation or guilt when we’ve done something wrong.

so we could express Him, but because of the fall, we tend to express ourselves.

STRENGHT
· Both of these may actually be pointing in the same direction, for the strength of a person is not simply who he is, but what he has at his disposal. Think with me: If Moses’s call to love Yahweh starts with our heart and then moves out to our being, could not our “very-ness” be one step bigger and include all our resources (see Block, Deuteronomy, 183–84)?
SO WHAT IS THE ESSENCE?
· Serve the Lord with the Totality of who you are and with the whole of what you possess

· Contemplating the bauty of the Lord Jesus and with this picture

So, any action of worship that is void of this on-going and daily REVOLUTION is
· empty worship
· man-centered worship;
· NO WORSHIP AT ALL.
For how can you truly worship the Lord when
- Your HEART is being saturated by the passions of the enemy’s kingdom?
- Your SOUL is being guided by the ways of the enemy’s kingdom?
- Your MIND is being occupied by the thoughts of the enemy’s kingdom?
- Your STRENGHT (possessions) are being given to the stuff of the enemy’s kingdom?
INTRO
In the late 1700’s the then 13 colonies in N. America joined together to fight against the British Empire in order to gain their independence and, when the battle was over the United States was formed. This event is known historically as the American Revolution.
In our text, Jesus commands us to love the Lord…with all…. I want you to know that what Jesus was teaching and commanding us with not the soft, Hallmark version of love; not the spiritual equivalent of the Notebook. Too often when we read these words of Jesus this is what we think. We think, immediately, that Jesus is commanding us to have warm and fuzzies for the Lord. But this is not the case.
In this text Jesus is commanding us to love; But not this: love is an act of Revolution!!!!!!
TO WORSHIP THE LORD IS TO LOVE THE LORD; SO WORSHIP IS AN ACT OF WAR – REVOLUTION – AGINST SIN, SATAN AND EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE THAT PREVETS US FROM OUR COMPLETE WORSHIP OF THE LORD
Like the 13 colonies joined together to fight against the oppression of the British, so too must we unite these four: Our Mind, our heart, our soul and our strength to fight against the tyranny of sin and the seeming oppressive nature of the devil.
When Jesus calls us to love the Lord with… He is calling us to war: to a revolution.
God wants to do something great IN YOU AND somethingGREAT -in this church and I am certain this is why he has called us to do a series on worship. But I want you to hear what I’m about to say to you and I want you to let it sink in powerfully into you mind and into your soul.
What God wants to do in this church this great thing he wants to do, he will only do through you. Note this and do not let it pass the mind: God Will not do anything great in the heart that does not see him as great. You get that? If you want to see great things in your life and if you want to see great things in this church God must be FIRST in your heart and in THE HEART OF this church.
So when Jesus says that you are to love the Lord your God with all your heart etc. he is saying something powerful and something we can and we did not miss last we missed the heart of God for our lives. Love is a revolution. Love is a whole life revolution.
Revolution is the act of producing change by violence!!!!

WORSHIP is an act of revolution because the choice to love is a choice to hate. When a man chooses to love a woman in that one choice he makes a revolution against all other women.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
To love the Lord is means bringing a revolution upon everything else and everyone else. This is why Jesus makes the following challenging and difficult statement -TURN TO
Now great crowds accompanied him, and he turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

Following Jesus is not to be taken lightly because worshipping the Lord demands that we love Him; that we ACTIVELY AND CONSISTENTLY go to war against everything and everyone; TO WORSHIP THE LORD means to go to war against EVERYTHING - JESUS WANTS THE FULESS OF YOUR WORSHIP IN THE TOTALITY OF YOUR LOVE
Jesus says the man does not hate his father mother sister brother etc. can’t be my disciple. If he will not make me a priority or better if he will notLet his love for me provide discernment about how to love his mother father sister brother you cannot be my disciple.
THE CALL TO GO TO WAR TO MAKE JESUS SUPREME IN YOUR LIFE IS THE ONLY RIGHT, AND REASONABLE RESPONSE TO THE LORD WHO WENT TO WAR FOR YOU! FOLLOW ME HERE

So, the sending of Jesus was an Act of love - a declaration of Revolution from the Lord against sin and Satan the twin enemies that had us bound!
So to love God with all our heart mind soul and strength is an act of revolution against everything of our soul mind and heart and strains that is above Jesus. Sec Corinthian‘s 10-says anything at graces itself up against the opinion of Jesus must be slayed
When you were converted the revolution began in you. Jesus started the revolution of your heart and now he’s calling you with the help of the Holy Spirit, to finish it.
So, the Lord began the Revolution for your worship by loving us in sending Jesus for us. When you were converted the revolution began in you. Now he’s calling you and I, by the help of the Holy Spirit, to finish it by going t war against everything that hinders or seeks to rob our love for the Lord.
Worship is the weapon of heaven by which we do business against every competing thing, person, desire or possession that seeks to gain control or mastery over our hearts, minds, soul and strength.
LET ME SAY SOMETHING THAT I NEED YOU TO GET THAT THE DEVIL IS DESPERATELY TRYING TO KEEP YOU FROM UNDERSTANDING:

The REVOLUTION we are called to is the disciplined delight and determination of winning every moment for the honor, fame and glory of the Lord.
For the past few months when I rise in the morning I have resolutions of worship that I repeat to myself. The very first resolution is this:
“I will win every moment today, proving that Christ is of infinite worth, fully deserving of my complete and total devotion, worship and obedience”

Worship is the revolution - the daily fight - to bend all of who I am toward the direction of the Lord that I might see Him as more glorious than any competing affection, desire, or temptation!!!!
Because when the eyes of the soul are captivated by the beautiful picture of who the Lord is everything within us – our mind, our heart, our soul and our strength – IS MADE TO BEND MORE AND MORE TOWARDS THE LORD. PAUL PUTS IT BEAUTIFULLY THIS WAY IN
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Why does the devil seek to block believers’ sight of the Lord? TO KEEP THEM FROM WALKING IN THEIR FREEDOM AND MOVING FROM ONE DEGREE OF GLRY TO ANOTHER

When you fight in the revolution your fighting not simply for your freedom but you’re fighting for the freedom of others who come behind you-fighting for their freedom to walk in freedom. So in the revolutionary war they fought for you and I. They fall so that we could be free. When youYou become a revolutionary in this area of warship you are fighting not only for your worship but that in achieving your worship others might find worship as well.
Freedom – Freedom from the schemes of the enemy that seek to blind us to His glory.
KEY POINT: DRIVE THIS HOME!!!
This is why the enemy LOVES that you LIKE Jesus and TALK about Jesus but NEVER fight to see Jesus.

NOTICE WHERE THE LORD TELLS US TO BATTLE! IF WE GET THIS ONE THING I AM ABOUT TO SAY YOU WILL BE ON THE PATH TO GREAT FREEDOM IN THE LORD:

So when Jesus says that you are to love the Lord your God with all your heart etc. he is saying something powerful and something we can and we did not miss last we missed the heart of God for our lives. Love is a revolution. Love is a whole life revolution.
