Welcome
Today, we are gathered here to remember those who have gone before us.
While from our perspective their life may have been short, we can only hope for our reunion one day.
We have come together with a common bond; as someone who has lost a loved one because of drugs.
Bond us together today.
Let’s open our time with prayer.
Almighty God, thou who dost give life to man and dost receive him again in death, we thank thee for thy abiding presence and for the grace provided in Christ Jesus.
In our frailty we look to thee for strength and in our sorrow for comfort.
Help us in this hour to put our trust in thee that we may receive light and understanding and a new experience of thy grace unto eternal hope, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Almighty God, you are the one who gives life to man and also receives him again in death.
We thank you for your abiding presence and for the grace provided in Jesus Christ.
In our mortal bodies we look to you for strength and in our sorrow for comfort.
Help us today to put our trust in you so that we may receive light and understanding.
Help us have a new experience of your grace to eternal hope, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
