Tonight we are going to be talking about the Holy Spirit?
This is ultimately the point of the downpour series. You fully alive in Christ. You walking in the supernatural abundant life that the Lord offers.
So far we have looked at a proper view of God? A Picture of Holiness
Looked at our Own Sinfulness - A picture of Brokenss
Looked at
Looked at Jesus on the Cross- a picture of Redemption
And tonight we are going to look at the Holy Spirit - A picture of Power
Everything has been guiding us to this place. What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit?
Everything is working its way to the final Consummation… If you don’t know what Consummation means… Its just a complicated word for what happens when Jesus returns.... When sin and death is no more, when we live free from guilt shame and despair...... There are different ages from God’s standpoint.... Int the Old testament they lived under the law of God. But when the Messiah came, died and resurrected we are living in an age of grace. That age began the Sunday morning that the Lord came out fo the grave, It will end when He comes back, and destroys his enemies. And the consummation will be His Kingdom here on this earth… and peace will prevail.
It is the happy ending of this age long story that God has been telling from the begining of time. It is the final paragraph of the final chapter. When the man get beauty and they ride off ino the sunset. After the parts of the story when things seemed overwhelming, there was no way the hero of the story could prevail, after that part of the story will all hope was lost, but then something miraculous happened. Well the miraculous happened when the Son of God came born of a baby.
