Mediums & Familiar Spirits

“About Mediumship

DAWN - PSYCHIC INTUITIVE & MEDIUM·THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2018
Hello and welcome!
This is a little about mediumship just to set your expectations. For every medium this process is different. I'll explain how it came about for me and how it works for me. When my connection to the Divine blew wide open I knew that I had entered a new dimension that not many people could see or hear. This dimension was crystal clear and unlike anything on earth. I went there in my dreams and later in meditation. Now I can connect any time I want.
My first experience with meeting a spirit being was when I had an oracle reading done for me and the reader (who became my first mentor) told me that she saw an Indian spirit guide behind me. Within a short period of time I met him in my dream world and knew his name. After that it was easy for me to see other people's spirit guides and obtain their names and what they looked like etc. I also saw animals and angels as well as many other types of spirit beings.
Knowing information came shortly thereafter. By all standards what I was doing was a form of mediumship only I didn't consider myself a medium. I gave intuitive readings for a long time and sometimes I would see a deceased relative behind the client. Then I joined a free reading group on FB and when I looked at pictures of the deceased I could hear their messages etc. This is how it really began for me.
When I am asked for mediumship the deceased either comes in fast and strong or I have to do a little searching for them. Depending upon where they are in the spirit world and their willingness I can read their energy. There has only been one time where I could not reach a deceased spirit. When they come near, generally all the hairs on my arms stand up and I get body chills. This means it's a good connection. Other times it's a little faint but still I am able to read them. If someone has committed suicide they might be in a depressed state still. I will not tell you that they are shining like an angel. I have integrity in readings and I won't tell you a lie to please you.
I am able to see, feel and hear them but it's NOT like talking to a person. I know the gender, age, approximate height and weight and sometimes other details like the cause of death. The communication is more like telepathy and for me comes across as knowing things and understanding thoughts and sometimes actual phrases that they are saying. I try to distinguish for the client which is which. Sometimes I know the names of the deceased without being told and often I see who they are with on the other side and where they live now.
The person does not appear like a solid in the flesh being to me and I am seeing them with my 3rd eye, it's almost like being in a dream in a way. It's like a faint image but it's an image and very clear in my senses. I don't control what I see. I am shown something and I am reporting it to you!
I allow all information that they are willing to give to come through. Yes I can ask questions to them but I prefer to let them show me what they want to first.
I cannot answer questions that are test questions like "Ask them if they know what happened to me last week?" This sets me up for a pressured situation that is bound to end in a wrong answer. General questions are fine and I will ask and try to get an answer. If the client is skeptical I ask that they refrain from voicing it and just wait. Often some convincing proof will come through. Snide thoughts and doubts disrupts the flow the reading and sometimes brings the reading to a halt. I can't read for someone who is judging me.
I usually cry as I feel the emotions of the deceased or the client trying to reach them. Sometimes I cry for a long time. If I tell that I cry it's not to make you feel bad, it's to let you know how much Spirit loves you! Lastly when I read I am wide open and very vulnerable. A mean comment by a client can feel like a punch in the face. So please be sweet.
I ask for feedback as we go. Don't be surprised if I have a few wrong guesses. I'm not God, I can't see all things but I do my best to bring hope and healing to you!”

Abominations

In this passage, these are the things that are listed as abominations that are not to be learned by God’s people for God has not appointed such for us. If we practice such things, we are no longer blameless before the Lord.

divination, means through which humans attempt to secure information through spirits, magic, or some other superhuman source. There was great interest in the biblical world in knowing the future, and virtually everyone believed it was sometimes possible to do so; dreams, visions, and other portents could reveal the future, though an interpreter might be needed to know their meaning. Astrology was also widely practiced, offering predictions of the future (and attendant advice for the present) based on the observation of stars, which were believed to be deities affecting earthly events. Professional oracles claimed to have the ability to predict the future for those who sought them out (and performed required services). The most famous of these included the Pythia in Delphi, the oak trees of Dodona, and the Memnon of Thebes. Many people also thought the future could be divined by anyone who knew how to interpret signs sent by God (or the gods); the flight of birds, eating habits of chickens, and condition of the entrails, especially the liver, of sacrificial animals were all deemed relevant at different places and times. The flight of arrows foretold a victory to King Joash (2 Kings 13:14–19).

The Bible contains numerous prohibitions against divination. Deut. 18:10–11 says, “No one shall be found among you who makes a son or daughter pass through fire, or who practices divination, or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, or one who casts spells, or who consults ghosts or spirits, or who seeks oracles from the dead” (the practice of consulting the dead is called necromancy; cf. Lev. 19:26). Judah and Israel both disobeyed this command, however (2 Kings 17:17), and King Manasseh of Israel is singled out as one who did evil in the eyes of the Lord because he “practiced soothsaying and augury and sorcery, and dealt with mediums and with wizards” (2 Kings 21:6; 2 Chron. 33:6). The story of Saul consulting with the medium of Endor to call up the prophet Samuel from the dead represents an especially egregious example of divination that meets with divine condemnation (1 Sam. 28).

Other Passages

The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;

I will destroy their counsel,

And they will consult the idols and the charmers,

The mediums and the sorcerers.

Leviticus 21:6

6 ‘And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people. 7 Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God. 8 And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the LORD who sanctifies you.

Leviticus 21:27

27 ‘A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.’ ”

1 Chronicles 10:13

13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. 14 But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

1 Samuel 28:3

3 Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land.

1 Samuel 28:7-9
1 Samuel 28:7-9

7 Then Saul said to his servants, “Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.”

And his servants said to him, “In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor.”

8 So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said, “Please conduct a séance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you.”

9 Then the woman said to him, “Look, you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the spiritists from the land. Why then do you lay a snare for my life, to cause me to die?”

2 Kings 21:1-9
2 Kings 21:1–9 NKJV
Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hephzibah. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. He also built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem I will put My name.” And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord. Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger. He even set a carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the Lord had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; and I will not make the feet of Israel wander anymore from the land which I gave their fathers—only if they are careful to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that My servant Moses commanded them.” But they paid no attention, and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.

2 Chronicles 33:1-9
2 Chronicles 33:1-9

33 Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. 2 But he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. 3 For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he raised up altars for the Baals, and made wooden images; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. 4 He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, “In Jerusalem shall My name be forever.” 5 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. 6 Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. 7 He even set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, “In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever; 8 and I will not again remove the foot of Israel from the land which I have appointed for your fathers—only if they are careful to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.” 9 So Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

2 Kings 23:24-25
2 Kings 23:24-25

24 Moreover Josiah put away those who consulted mediums and spiritists, the household gods and idols, all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD. 25 Now before him there was no king like him, who turned to the LORD with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses; nor after him did any arise like him.

13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. 14 But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

16 Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. 17 This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” 18 And this she did for many days.

But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour. 19 But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities.

Conclusions pertaining to the testimony regarding mediumship. A medium or spiritist is someone who consults familiar spirits or someone who has a familiar spirit. The testimony above was that the person first started experiencing these things after they consulted with a “oracle” who then became their “mentor” who introduced them to their “familiar spirit.” They then began practicing these things.

Conclusions

Pertaining to your testimony above regarding mediumship, a medium or spiritist is someone who consults familiar spirits or someone who has a familiar spirit. Your testimony above was that you first started experiencing these things after you consulted a “psychic reader” or “Medium.” The medium used a deck of “oracle” cards to give you the reading. This medium then became your “mentor” who introduced you to a “familiar spirit.” Then you began practicing these things. There is no mention of God or Jesus in this testimony. Therefore, no glory can be given to God or Jesus. In addition, you were selling these readings to others.
There are not a lot of reliable sources on what a deck of oracle cards are but here are some.
“In fact, Oracle Cards are quite an ancient form of divination, with huge similarities to the Tarot, the ancient Runes, or even the iChing.”

“Years ago the word oracles came up and I remember the conversation verbatim. I had never heard the word before. It struck my fancy as I was very tuned in already to angelic messages, purpose, feeling angels present, using and appreciating the gift of the beautiful winged creatures the angels, but who are the oracles in the scrolls? I had never understood the term, so I set out to do my research.
There's always a lot of chatter around the origin, nature and purpose of the angels but what about the Oracles? The angels offer Oracle messages and are a form of Oracle readings, if you wish to consult the Angels or Archangels as the holy ones in sharing their messages for your current life situation. Other deities, goddesses, gods, animals, and ancestors also offer Oracle messages so there are many types of oracle readings, all of which are very exciting.
Oracles are mentioned in the Bible and acknowledged in history as divine truths, divine messages sent through a seer or someone who can see and then verbalize the message itself to whoever is asking. Research shows the word mentioned in various forms of scripture and is always meant to be “the holy messages from a deity or God.”
Divine Messages Coming from the Holy Temple or Holy Place
A temple is often referred to as being the human body. Our bodies are considered a “temple of God,” so indeed oracle messages from God or divine Universal messages can come from an individual, high priest or priestess, god or goddesses, in the temple or church of God or from an individual or animal living or passed from earthly life.”

Oracle card decks claim to provide insight and positive outlooks to people. Modern oracle cards are conceptually similar to divinatory tarot cards, but they are often not divided into playing card suits. They often lack what is often seen as the "darker" images of traditional tarot cards. Unlike the Tarot, oracle cards are not known to be used for card games. Oracle decks often differ in the number of cards. Common themes used in oracle card decks involve the power of positive thought and metaphysical beings such as angels, fairies, mermaids and unicorns. These cards are sometimes called "fortune telling packs"
Some of the earlier "Oracle" or "fortune telling" cards are similar to conventional playing cards and may even carry the French suit system.[1] These fortune telling cards often claim a "Gypsy" tradition of cartomancy and pre-date the New Age movement by a great many years.[2] [3] One type of early fortune telling pack named after famous cartomancer Marie Anne Lenormand is popular in Europe.[4] In recent history tarot cards have been used for divination, however this is not known to have been their original use. The earliest uses of tarot cards are for trick taking card games which are still enjoyed today in Europe.”

Notice the association with divination, angels, and even god or goddesses.
Matthew 10:5-8
Matthew 10:5–8 NKJV
These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Matthew 5:
When the disciples had received the ability to heal the sick, cleanse lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons, Jesus told them that they had freely received this so they should freely give.
Contrast that with the interaction between Peter and Simon Magus

18 And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, 19 saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

20 But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money! 21 You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God. 22 Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. 23 For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”

Simony, buying or selling of something spiritual or closely connected with the spiritual. More widely, it is any contract of this kind forbidden by divine or ecclesiastical law. The name is taken from Simon Magus (), who endeavoured to buy from the Apostles the power of conferring the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Conclusions pertaining to the testimony regarding mediumship. A medium or spiritist is someone who consults familiar spirits or someone who has a familiar spirit. Simony, in the form of buying holy orders, or church offices, was virtually unknown in the first three centuries of the Christian church, but it became familiar when the church had positions of wealth and influence to bestow. The first legislation on the point was the second canon of the Council of Chalcedon (451). From that time prohibitions and penalties were reiterated against buying or selling promotions to the episcopate, priesthood, and diaconate. Later, the offense of simony was extended to include all traffic in benefices and all pecuniary transactions on masses (apart from the authorized offering), blessed oils, and other consecrated objects.

Acts 16:16-29

Notice that when Paul cast our the familiar spirit that it annoyed her masters because their profit was gone.
So there are two forms of obtaining spiritual gifts one that follows freely from the laying on of hands by Jesus or Christians who have received this ability from the Lord and those that are obtained through the a buying and selling of spiritual gifts as in the case of a medium.
In the book of Revelation, it details in the end times that God’s people will receive a seal and so will the followers of the beast.

7 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” 4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

It is often believed that those who receive the mark of the beast in the book of revelation are receiving some sort of tattoo or RFID chip. But if the people of God are receiving a mark, are they different marks? Is the mark from the Lord one thing and the mark of the beast an RFID chip. There is another possibility and that is they are buying and selling the ability to perform deceiving signs and wonders. The second beast deceives people by the signs that he is able to perform.

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth—by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

It is our understanding that at the end of the age, you will see the beast and those who follow him performing signs and wonders so as to deceive the nations. At the same time, you will have the two witnesses and the 144 thousand who have the Father’s name written on their foreheads performing opposing signs and wonders.

14 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
