True Christians

Are people Christians because they consider themselves Christians or even call themselves christians.

I can walk like a duck, pretend to be a duck, quack like a duck, dress like a duck and even live with ducks but that doesn’t make me a duck. The same principles applies to christians.

First of all we need to know what a true christians is.

I can call myself a christian, pretend to be a christian, talk like a christian, dress like a christian, worship with christians and even live with christians but that doesn’t make me a christian. Many deceivers are out there trying to fool people into believing they are christians when truly they are not. Many people are out there, who believe they are christians and are truly not.

Or, if someone comes to you and says they are a christian. Does that mean they are truly a christian or does that make them a christian and you should believe them and accept them as a christian or brother in the Lord? This about this for a minute? I have heard many people say well they say they are christians but they act like this or that or say things like this or that and you know true christians shouldn’t be acting like that or saying things like that.

You should know if people who claim to be christians should act like one and speak like one. If they don’t, why do we believe that what they claim to be is true and be so confused? It should be obvious, they are not christians and we should accept that they are not and not me decieved.

Well, we can see here disciples were called christians, so does that mean I have to be a disciple to be a christian?

What is a disciple? to be a follower of someone, in the sense of adhering to the teachings or instructions of a leader and in promoting the cause of such a leader ‘to follow, to be a disciple of, in this case, a disciple of Jesus.

So, I can claim to be a disciple of Jesus. Does that make me a disciple of Jesus or a christian?
