What's So Amazing About Christmas
What's So Amazing About Christmas
God Gave Dominion to man
Man Sold Himself Into Slavery To The Law
God Became Man
To understand what's so special about Christmas, you must Comprehend these 2 Questions:
Thoughts:
1. What makes people live in condemnation?
1. What makes people live in condemnation?
The Law
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
2. What makes people afraid?
2. What makes people afraid?
Scriptures
The Law
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
No one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.
Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.”
The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break.
For the law always brings punishment on those who try to obey it. (The only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break!)

To Understand What’s So Special About Christmas, You Have To Start At The Beginning
God Created Us In His Image
We were created in God's Image and likeness..
So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
Day 6 We were his best.
God always saves the best for last..
Jesus turns water into wine
“A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!”

1. God Gave Dominion to man
Let them rule
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
2. Adam & Eve Committed Adultery
2. Adam & Eve Committed Adultery
Don't partake of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”
Gen 3 Man partakes of the knowledge
MAN HAS NOW BECOME LIKE ONE OF US
Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”
3. Man Was Separated From God And Became A Slave Of The Law
3. Man Was Separated From God And Became A Slave Of The Law
You were enemies-- separated from God by sin
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.
NIV Married To The Law
Now, dear brothers and sisters—you who are familiar with the law—don’t you know that the law applies only while a person is living? For example, when a woman marries, the law binds her to her husband as long as he is alive. But if he dies, the laws of marriage no longer apply to her. So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death. But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.
Law Produced The Sin
Law Produced The Sin
Sin was empowered by the commandment
Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” But sin used this command to arouse all kinds of covetous desires within me! If there were no law, sin would not have that power.
NIV Power Of Sin Is The Law
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
4. God's Holiness/Integrity Caused Christmas
4. God's Holiness/Integrity Caused Christmas
Why?
Because he gave authority to man & Cannot Lie &...Because He is in love with us
God Sent His Son..
The Most Amazing Thing About Christmas...God Became Man
BC--AD Before Christ.. AD Anno Domini = Year Of Our Lord This dating system was devised in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus of Scythia Minor, but was not widely used until after 800.[9][10]original phrase "anno Domini nostri Jesu Christi", which translates to "in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ".
They will call him immanuel
“Look! The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel,
which means ‘God is with us.’ ”
God So Loved The World That He Gave His Son
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
God sent Jesus to buy freedom for us.
But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.
HE WHO KNEW NO SIN BECAME SIN FOR US
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
5. God Delivered Us From The Law
Remember what the power of sin is? The Law...
The law was nailed to the cross
You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
Christ is the end of the law
For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
5. Jesus Came To Give Us Freedom/Peace With God

So if the Son set you free, you will be free indeed.
So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.
