Everything we have is a gift

Reconciliation- to make peace from a problem
God gave us everything.
No selfishness allowed.

God is Generous

God is Generous
What have you earned? Nothing
What do we deserve? Nothing
What does he give us? Everything
God leads by example:
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God—who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly—and it will be given to him.
Christian Standard Bible. (2017). (). Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers.
Why?
—  “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.

Is it better to give than to receive?

Generosity is for US and THEM
Gifts go with THEM and stay with US
Loving people like this is a way that God changes you
Loving people like this is a way that God changes others

Who do you need to show love to?

Someone who needs encouragement.
Someone you need to forgive/seek for forgiveness from.
Someone who needs to know that you care about them.
Someone who needs to know that God loves them.
Examples:
“At YG we talked about how God loves us and gives us gifts to help us understand hat love. I want you to understand that I love you! Merry Christmas!”
“I wrote this card because I know that God cares about me and I wanted you to know that I care about you. Merry Christmas!”
“I know that we haven’t been getting along super well, but I wanted to wish a merry Christmas.”
