14So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.

15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
17So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.

PRAY
this is a very familiar text dealing with ten lepers:
Ten Lepers: Men suffering from leprosy. They cried to Jesus to have mercy on them and he healed them.
In this situation, Jews and Samaritan did not usually live together, however as being outcasts, as you’ve misery loves company
When you get it all in the world and it’s stripped from you and you find yourself in the low of lowly places, you want some one around.
in the text today, Jesus was the hope that showed up, we need to know that no matter the situation that hope is just around the corner.
I know he’s around based off scripture speaking about a whisper.
  The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels;
22  The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels;
they go down into the inner parts of the body.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.
These men have heard of Jesus, now trusting him as the commander of death and diseases. A king healer!
The have heard of Jesus and trusted him to be the chief commander of death and diseases.
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
When they turned to obey, they were completely healed due to their obedience, this was a big, they are no longer outcasts, but can be counted among the flock, the people.
As common courtesy, you would think they would go to Jesus just t say thank you.
It’s something about being thankful!
- Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
- And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
- O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: because his mercy [endureth] for ever. (Read More...)
But before we judge anyone, we must ask the question, have you been thankful?
Let me help someone, thank
I will share with you that even though it’s often heard, the tragic is real. Because somebody is not here this Sunday, you don’t believe me, then check the news.
All to often we are content to enjoy the gift of life and omit the giver of life.
If you look at this text carefully, we see a Samaritan who instead of going to the priest became a priest, by building his alter at the feet of Jesus. Because they were healed on the way, but one came to thank the lord and for that, I would say that he got a double blessing!
How’s that? Well for one. His faith had made him healed physically as stated in the bible. Truly all ten where physically healed?
But Samaritan was declared saved by the Son of God.
See what happens when you don’t follow the crowd, it made sense the Samaritan to follow the nine to see the priest, Jesus said so and we see the healing taking place. But the Samaritan chose to go the see the source of the healing power and for that he was saved.
We don’t need to be like anyone, but what God has made us. Don’t let people or situations stifle what God has for you. When you get a blessing from Jesus, don’t doubt it. Most of us have missed some opportunities because we second-guess what God can do. You don’t have to worry about haters when you battling yourself, sacrifice your flesh and say for God I live and for God I die.
While it was a wonderful thing to experience the physical healing, it was more wonderful to experience the miracle of eternal salvation. We must have an attitude of gratitude.
God has been to good to us, even when we were lost, some of us lost friends and family, knowing that God could have taken us out as well.
This more we are proposed for a high calling, a high walk, a higher talk, and higher assignment.
I don’t serve a little God and it bothers me today knowing that we serve a big God, but we think so little as if he’s uncap able of doing big things.
How big is your faith? Are you connected to the true vine.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
When we walk with Jesus, what you thought was a concern is no longer a issue anymore
Whatever you was worried about, it was given to somebody else
When things look bad, you can have a peace that surpasses all understanding
When you should be sad, your joyful, when you should be mad you’re grateful and when favor come your way like Jesus and the Samaritan, you’re thankful
God is in the business of blessing his people, don’t believe me, it’s in the book, for he says in: , he talks about pouring out a blessing
New Living Translation says:
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
God is real, no matter what world says, can’t nobody do me like Jesus. His long is longsuffering, he stretch is unmeasurable. He is the only way and to prevent us from a hades death of fire and brimstone, he sent his only begotten son Jesus to die on a rugged cross. He we go again, he’s another blessing that we may have a right to the tree of life.
I’m done, but before I LEAVE, I wanna say thank you God for blessing me:
For keeping me
For having a faithful relationship with me
For blocking me from an unrighthoues path
For giving me a word to share
For having family that love me
For having a family that prays for me
For sending your son Jesus
He did’nt have to do it, but he did it anyhow, who would serve a god like that
Thank you!
All ten men did not go running back to Jesus
