What Am I Doing Here?

You know, I have had no less than 4 different sermons begun in the last few weeks. I'm not sure about many of you, but when I get a new sermon idea, I develop it in my mind a long while before actually putting it “to paper” so to speak.
Yesterday, after getting Gideon off to visit, a shower, and getting myself breakfast and meds and such, I noticed Stacy, who had previously professed her state of being cold, had lain back in bed, under the warm covers, and, despite words to the contrary, was well on her way to falling asleep, which she did, in point of fact, asleep. In any case, I had lain down beside her, having also seen the benefits of warmth, and begun reading. First I was led to Steps to Christ, and then, due to a footnote, Testimonies to the Church, and then back to Steps to Christ. Then I read something...something that totally blew my mind. We’ll get to that in a moment. But the context of what Sister White was saying was based on , otherwise known as the address to the Church in Laodicea.
