God's Love Gift Jesus - Christmas day service

God is not working my life over the years in the realm of of love. I know I love the Holy Spirit and and moving in the spirit than that, but the other part of that the other arm of that is love and why I do that is because I love and more importantly that God loves and so I really want to share that one time in my life. I know God has given us all the love and a heart that we need because it should have brought a now hot in the Bible says but I don't want too many years ago. I was seeking God for more of that Lovin You Hear right people being baptized in the spirit being baptized in the love of God and I think that everything we do must be done in the spirit of love and compassion. And so I'm Is very funny when I was in the world, I became very worldly wise and. Knew when I was getting Condon when I wasn't when I became a Christian, I would have gave my house away the nearest person who us, but I realized it in the church people went perfect either after a while and then some of them do tend to judge but manipulation can be something that that works wherever we go. No matter who we are but you know God can develop in the spirit of love and I think that love is a very very important thing and so when we need that so I want you to turn this morning and we have about 30 minutes. We might get finished a bit earlier, but I want you to turn to 1st John 4:9 to 11 and I'm reading this today out of The Message Bible. I just sorted bought it out nicely it says this This is how God showed his love for us. God sent his only son into the world. So we might live through him. This is the kind of love we talkin about know that we Once Upon a Time love God and we didn't but that he loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the Damage they've done in our relationship with God my dear dear friends. If God loved us like this we certainly or to love one another and so Christmas can be an exciting time. It's a little story about a little boy called Johnny. Johnny was excited to a Christmas time. He was only 10 years old. And it was as excited as any ten-year-old boy could be Christmas was still a Time of Wonder because he was only 10 years old and he did things much ten-year-olds. Do you play football and ride his bike and climb trees went fishing with these dead is a happy kids probably played a little bit on a iPad doing the other things that we do these days. He just enjoyed life. But every part of life life was full of wonder and amazement and Christmas was the most wonderful time of you. It was Christmas Eve in the ground was white and it was Strider. It's not like we don't have white but this is a story where it's white with snow. It was called and it was clear and the stars were bright that night and it seemed so close that you could have reached out and then just touch the stars with your hands. The family are on their way to the grandparents house. That was a family tradition and Johnny could hardly wait he was excited and he's mine just raced with ideas about what he might receive this year what present he would find under the tree for him that night. Every year the family would gather and Grandpa and Grandma's house. It was always a huge tree and there was always a present under the tree for each person the the kids would seek and I look at 3 to the presents and find out where there's was located under the tree. But Johnny was usually one of the first to find out where his present was placed, but this year was different. He didn't find his is right away. He couldn't see it even though he said still alive before it so he began to worry because he couldn't find it. So I just caught a big box in the corner and was a huge box a biggest prison. Do you ever seen a slightly walk over to it? And sure enough written on the tag with the letters Johnny he was grinning from ear-to-ear his eyes wide with excitement. Grandpa was handed out the presents and Grandpa was not very fast this year. He seemed especially slow and wouldn't you know it Johnny's name was the last one cool. As soon as the night was cold Johnny ran up to Grandpa. Is this really mine? Is that big present really Mon and Grandpa reassured him it was as soon as he knew it was his he tore into the package and what do you think he found? What do you think was inside that large box? What do you think? It was the best Christmas present Johnny had ever received. What do you think? It was any ideas what that present might have brain? Am I evil bike? a puzzle Okay, any other ideas?

Who you wit? Probably conjure up all sorts of ideas. Weigh a big box a Christmas present. God's love what's a good clever answer? So because the messages about that but we did we have all sorts of ideas the best present what the best president is done and then we can all pictures and out of mind what the best present day is how do you measure the value of a prison? How do you judge the word with its size by its white dude judge it by its usefulness or perhaps by its cost or even its effectiveness. What do you like to do this morning is examines God's presence to us? It's all wrapped up. It has bows on it. It's standing next to you and me, it's Lodge. The song along with me as we read from godswood today. So I love this message is God's love gift Jesus. So how do we measure the Battle of Gods? Jesus to you I'd suggest three ways number one. God's love gift to you is measured by its usefulness. What is the usefulness of God's love give to us. The answer is found in verse 9 that says this is how God showed his love for us. God sent his only son into the world. So we might live through him. Jesus said it this way and John 10:10. I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. What a promise that is that's not just life. That's not just existence live life, which means something life was worth Abundant Life. What are the bit of competition here? a vacuum cleaner

The fact is I am headed for the glory of God. You are here for the glory of God. We're not here to say look at all. I'd on look at all you've accomplished wait for the glory of God and these think we accomplished anything we do that's good and a pat on the back but nevertheless glory to God cuz it's all about him. My purpose is to live life that magnifies Jesus Christ doing precious souls to God to encourage and support for like Christians to become more like Jesus Christ to use my gifts and talents and helping others as it's already mentioned. The most important thing is to tell those who deny Jesus that is good news that I can have eternal life.

That's why I exist. I also enjoy the journey along the way. Cuz God allows us to do that. Of course God's not up in heaven with a mallet. I want to be a person that God says you have bought me Glory the kingdom of God you have done well. God's love gift of Salvation to us is useful. It gives us meaning it gives us value. Our purpose is to bring glory to God for the winning of Saul's through living a life that glorifies God. Look at this morning God's love gift to you is measured by its cost. God wants a I'll bet she doesn't want leftovers. He doesn't want cheap stuff. He wants the best that you and I can give him. He wants 100% David said in 2nd Samuel 24:24. I will not offer to the Lord my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.

I don't give God second hand stuff. If you got a second hand toaster. And I think the church might use it fair enough with might be useful. I'd rather buy a new one and bring to the church. I'd rather give God my best it cost me something.

you know, I live that type of life the life of Excellence the life of you. Trying to get things that I have to scratch a building might be small, but we doing a top-notch since it's looking good that you wouldn't believe what it look like in 1994 when we kind and the people here then did the best I could with it. Because that is what God has done for us. He has given us the most precious love gift. He could possibly give something of worth something of value something that is one of a kind he gave his son Jesus Christ the greatest man the greatest person the greatest god that ever lived the only God this is the kind of love with talking about this morning that he loved us and he said his son as a sacrifice the Bible says and we all know the verse for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. We used to have a badge years ago and walk around with the streets on it used to have on it. I'm a whosoever. People with a? And people would cite. What's that mean? Well, let me tell you about it. What who a whosoever is and you could preach the gospel of it. Don't you what had to be done? He knew what price had to be paid he knew what was going to cost him and he sent the best for you and for me, and he said Jesus Christ born as a child for the Salvation of the world he gave that much to me. Why wouldn't I give him everything? That's the only answer everything. The fact is God's love gift is a valuable gift and it cost something. God's love gift to you is measured by its effectiveness. and this morning as we We located.

I know it's just a set but this is God's love gift. Christmas time. I know you might say Jesus wasn't born this time of year. I know that. It came out of heathen practices. I know that. But I'm not religious you say. There's no religious Spirits in this church. When are religious we walk on the grace? And we love people. And you can come over to know I don't care what your issues are. You family. I don't care if you smoke you drink, whatever you do you love but I'm not preaching. Grace with anything goes I'm not saying that's right or wrong. But I'm just saying you accepted your family loved and God loves you. And if you hang around us long enough. I'm hanging around the presence of God in your life will change. If you wanted to change it'll change you'll become a better person that you'll become old gods created you to be. You have the potential net to win many people to cross. I can see that written of you. You have that potential. I'm not becoming the only 12 months now. 2 years by gosh, halftime, what are you better get on with it? And that's that's good.

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven. This God's love changes does heat affect your behavior. Does it affect the way you treat people? You see that is what love is intended to do. It doesn't my toast. It doesn't my coffee. It changes Us in the loving compassionate people that care for the needs of those around us. God wants us to love the world. But he is a desire to do this through us. Are you willing to let God show his love for you? You say it's not oh, it's not a work saying it's not. Well, I must do this and I must say that and and all of that. That we really do walking out everything we do must be motivated by love. Get on like that all locked up my goodness. I could hit people sometimes like I really could in my natural self. But I want to grow up. I just want to smile inside that's like water off a duck's back. Along with basically an abusive husband never hit my wife, but I was always abusive and loud and selfish and a little boy on the inside not growing up. operating out of pine Providence giving that to God when I kind of the point of signing God this is going to change. How do I sort help? I'm a different man to die and a bit of man for that and I'm no different to you. It's a matter of fact, I might have had a rough. And you? I'm the one that the world would say nobody can help that guy. one of those You know the hottest people to help a good sinners. Bad Santas are easy to help. Cuz I know they're I'm done, but good Sinners think they were okay.
