I'm going to tell you briefly and quickly in the sense of time tonight. Just the story of the Gospel. Christmas began in the Garden of Eden it begins in Genesis chapter 3 verse 1 through 5 after God had made the perfect place. I talked to many members this evening and some that I have not seen Katie and Adam are here James and his wife were here petzl who are people that I moved away that I'm so glad to see you on a special night. But a lot of people are going through things lack of money health issues things breaking down family breaking down. And we sometimes will pray and ask God. Where are you at? And why is this all happening? But at the beginning of the Bible God made everything perfect. Everything is perfect. The Garden of Eden was perfect Adam and Eve were perfect. They were walking with God. There was no sin in Genesis chapter 3 verse 1 we read that the devil the serpent was more cunning than any beast in the field, which the Lord God made and he said to the woman s garden weed said You shall not eat of every tree of the garden. And the woman said to the serpent, we may eat the fruit of the Trees of the garden, but of the truth of the tree, which is in the midst of the garden goddess said You shall not eat nor shall you touch it or you will die pretty clear. Then the serpent said to the woman you will not die or God knows that in the day you eat of it. Your eyes will be opened and you'll be like that knowing good from Evil and that is it. Since that day we have tried to be God. That's all it is. All of us. Have you tried to do it in your own life? Because knowing whether or not you've live for God, you know, there's one specially in this country and you have spent 95% of your life living for yourself doing for yourself making sure phrases like that are popular today, which are everybody better respect me people better. I read a quote that was said in the University of what a professor thinks of Christmas and it Bears repeating because of how far we have fallen. It says the Christmas story. This professor said is nothing more than God impregnating an unwed underage girl then having Joseph marry her to cover it up. I am surprised that the Lord does not blow up this world and just say the heck with everybody will start all over again. But that is not God from the time the mistake happened in the garden and we decided to be God and continue to sin and mess up this world. He was already in the plan to save us. That's how much he loves us in Genesis chapter 22 verse 18 the first person he made a covenant with you said in your seat all the nations of the Earth shall be blessed because you have obeyed my voice the promise and the covenant made with Abraham was to send Jesus through his family that we might all be safe and Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6 a great Bible study. We recently had seven hundred years before the birth of Christ the prophet promised a child as a son is given and the government will be upon his shoulder. His name will be called wonderful counselor, Mighty God Everlasting father Prince of Peace. The promise of Jesus that will come to save us and re-established government and the get the world back on where it was supposed to be a noticed. He is called Mighty God Jesus Is God he is the son of God. Matthew chapter 1 verse 19 we read the announcement to Joseph from the angel and Joseph her husband being a just man and not wanting to make her a public example was minded to put her away when he found out that Mary was pregnant and do it secretly. But while he thought about these things behold an angel the Lord appeared to him saying Joseph son of David do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife for what is conceived in hers of the Holy Spirit the same. The only reason God wants us to be perfect cuz he doesn't want the same thing up there that we have down here. You watch the news you want heaven to be like this? No. God says I'm going to keep having perfect but to get in there. You must be perfect and you and I can't do it. We've had our chance of being God if you will only be honest with yourself today. How bad if you messed up your life. I'll bet if you messed up others life. It is time you realize you need a savior the dictionary describes the Savior simply as this a person who save someone from danger. Other words that it says it says that is a liberator is a deliver in emancipator a champion a knight in shining armor a Good Samaritan. I love this. Last one is a friend in me or what Jesus told his disciples when they walked along one time. He said guess what? I no longer call you my servants. I call you my friend. What a thing for God Almighty to consider us to be his friend folks. It's time as not being God. You stopped trying to determine how you get to heaven if he's God he makes the rules and the rule is simple if you have the son you have life. If you don't have the sign you don't have life. . God so loved the world he gave his son what other things does he have to do. How many Christmases will you celebrate and miss the very thing that Christmas is all about a gift that is beyond description. The God himself would remove himself from eternity enter time and be willing to do something. He's never done. It will never do again die or you That's not enough. And that's why I cannot stand the modern-day Church of trying to add everything to it. If God not dying for you is not enough. Nothing ever will be Nothing ever will be and dying for you is trying to say to guess what we're going to fix everything member those four things in heaven and we're dying no more sadness No More Tears no more pain no more sorrow. I'm going to live with you and you'll be with me the way it was meant to be. Reason, I brought up Adam and Eve part of me. This evening was Andy started coming to this church the blessings of his children. Remember God always talks about the children of the Kingdom of Heaven 30 coming to this church because it's children wanted to and Andy moved away to another place where they found a good church and to the assistance of his father. He went there in the same preacher or Deacon. That was at that church that help Andy really make sure that he received Christ the savior. Actually visited here during his services. And on that morning when Andy passed away on Christmas, and I know it's difficult. I know even for his family it is but I know his dad and I know his dad would say if my son's life can lead anyone to Christ and by all means tell the store. And the good thing about Andy is we knew you would save. Oaks tomorrow is not guaranteed to any man in the Bible says today is the day of salvation. Luke chapter 2 verse 8 through 14 it is the only time in the history of the Bible that God sent so many Angel and it was the announced the Savior was coming either way out in the country Shepherd living out their shepherds in the field keeping watch over their flock by night and behold an angel Lord stood before them the glory of the Lord Shone around them and they were greatly afraid and the angel said them don't be afraid for both. It says Goodwill towards men on whom his favor rests. Which means guess what folks I'll be very honest to you. Jesus Christ will either be your savior or your judge. He said I came the first time to save the next time. I'm coming to judge. And what I will do is Judge you according to your deeds and you have broken every commandment and Jesus is more than willing to say guess what if they received me my blood covers all their sins. They are Guiltless enter into the place that my father's will play it prepared for you from the beginning of time. But if you do not have the blood of Christ You will be cast into outer darkness and that's the word of God. And people understand something about preaching the true word. There is a hell. It was made for the devil and his angels but it is also made for those people that want to be their own God, but those people that constantly want to reject an incredible loving God who's pretty much think about it this way too if you're not saved as any been good to you even before you knew him. How much better does he want to be for you if you would just receive Christ? It is time that as much as we know. I love that fun. And I know sometimes I overdo it the folks. The only thing that matters at this church is if you're saying I actually beg you tonight as your pastor. If you have not received Christ, you don't need to understand anything the whole thing about the Bible. All you need to know is God loves you and die for you. That's all you need to know about yourself as hey. It's being my own God. It hasn't turned out that great. Let Jesus be your God let him be your safe.
