INTRODUCTION:
I.
I WILL MAKE MY LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST TOP PRIORITY IN THE COMING YEAR (Revelation 2:4).
ὅτι τὴν ἀγάπην σου τὴν πρώτην ἀφῆκες.
“You have abandoned the love you had [for me] at the first...”
A. By making my daily time alone with him a priority.
1- The first step to rekindling the “first love” romance is spending time with the loved-one.
2- The second step is recognizing again the characteristics of the loved-one that produced the attraction.

1- Restoration of “first love” romance entails a refocus of priorities on pleasing the loved-one.
II.
I WILL SEEK TO BE FAITHFUL TO CHRIST IN ALL AREAS OF MY LIFE IN THE COMING YEAR (Revelation 2:10).

III.
I WILL REFUSE TO COMPROMISE BIBLICAL STANDARDS OF LIVING TO FIT IN WITH THE WORLD IN THE COMING YEAR (Revelation 2:14-15).
A. I will refuse to compromise on the Biblical standards of personal integrity.
B. I will refuse to compromise on the Biblical standards of personal purity.
C. I will refuse to compromise on the Biblical standards of personal stewardship.
IV.
I WILL REJECT THOSE WHO SEEK TO MISLEAD GOD’S PEOPLE DOWN THE PATHWAY THAT LEADS TO REBELLION (Revelation 2:20).
A. Rebellion against God’s Word.
B. Rebellion against God’s Direction.
V. I WILL CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THE WAY OF LIFE AND VITALITY INSTEAD OF ALLOWING SPIRITUAL DEATH TO SET IN (Revelation 3:1-2).
A. By actively seeking the presence of God in private worship.
B. By actively seeking the presence of God in public worship.
C. By actively seeking the presence of God in practical service.
VI.
I WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE OPEN DOORS OF MINISTRY AND SERVICE THE LORD GIVES TO ME IN THE COMING YEAR (Revelation 3:8).
A. Recognizing that Jesus is the one who opens doors of service.
B. Responding to the open door of service with enthusiasm.
VII.
I WILL REJECT LUKEWARM, INDIFFERENT, AND SELF-SATISFIED ATTITUDES IN MY SERVICE TO MY LORD (Revelation 3:15-18).
A. Recognizing that lukewarmness is the enemy of the commission Christ has given us.
B. Remembering that lukewarmness will bring about the failure of all of the resolutions we make for serving Christ.
