Jesus Was On Assignment

I’d like to minister to you today out of my very own brokenness that comes from a situation that happened very late last night.
I believe that in some way - every one of us is broken - even if we show incredible strength on the surface.
As I tried to sleep through my wrestling with my own thoughts, inadequacies, failures, and great disappointment I just kept hearing God’s voice in my spirit saying,
I love you!!!
And as much as I tried to argue with God as to why He shouldn’t - even more He just kept calmly saying, I LOVE YOU!
In fact, this was Jesus’ express mission towards each of us.
John 3:16–17 NKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Jesus did not come to condemn me - He came to rescue me!
Romans 3:23 The Message
23 Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us,
rom3:23
Have you ever thought to yourself, “Geez, I really suck!” ???
There is something desperately wrong with me!
Please don’t bother loving me, I’m too broken to love.
Luke 5:31 ESV
31 And Jesus answered them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
Lamentations 3:22 ESV
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
Each of us is in desperate need of the Love of Jesus whether we realize it or not.
He was “MADE” for this!
Lamentations 3:22–23 ESV
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
lam3:
Psalm 139:8 NKJV
8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
ps139:8
Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV
6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
As long as you have breath, there is hope!
Revelation 3:20 NASB95
20 ‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
Jesus is literally waiting to come into your life & help.
Just One Thing:
Be humble enough to receive the love that will help & save your life. Open your heart and let Jesus flood in.

Questions:

What was your favorite piece/type of technology that is now obsolete?
What does it mean to you when you hear that God loves you?
Read & Romans 14:17- Describe what the abundant life looks like if God has His way in your life (Feel free to reference some verses that demonstrate God’s definition of the abundant life).
If there was 1 key area you could ask God to start in giving you the abundant life, what area would that be? Please take some time pray with your Connect Group for the area each person shares & believe God for the abundant life in that area to begin.
