Connection (Your Story)
I really like the song “Heart of worship” because it reminds me of a process God put me through sometime ago.
Tension (What’s the Problem)
Has God ever shown you something or someone that you need to let go, and you know its going to hurt?
Transition Statement
If you have felt or acted like that you may have an Idol in your life, and I think today’s message will set you free and point you the the help that you and I need.
Teaching and Intruction
Last week, Pastor Dave talked about worship and gave us this image about worship.
He said that:
The Solution (Point To Jesus)
Jesus is the truth that replaces the lie.
He said:
Inspiration (Call to Action)
So if you have decided to be transformed by Jesus, and let Him replace your idols with His truth this what I want us to do this week:Let God find one Idol in your life and ask Him to help you knock it down, and replace it with His truth.
(Repeat)And this is why?
Once God frees you from an Idol, you are going to want Him to do it again.
Hash-tagination of the Sermon
In case you forget today’s teaching, here it is in a tweet:An idol is lie that we use to replace who God is or what He has done, and only Jesus can replace #mytruth4HisTruth
