The Act of attributing worth, praise, adoration to God for who He is & What He has done.
It’s more than a song...

It truly is a lifestyle
Worship is not merely something we do, it’s who we are.
We ARE WORSHIPERS.
Story of family late for church, we are just missing the worship...
Stayed up late & offered to God there duty of being at church.
(difference bettween duty and devotion)
As we peak into the heart of David, we can see why he was a man after God’s own heart.
He was a King & A Warrior but Also a Poet & Song Writer… Tough yet Tender
In His Psalms we can see a full range of emotion… Fear, anxiety, anger, Joy, Desperation
He was Intensely Personal… (WORSHIP WAS’NT MERELY A FORMAL RELIGOUS DUTY, IT WAS PRIVATE)
Worship extends past the corporate setting… Imagine a church full of Private worshipers coming together
He Valued, He treasured his relationship with His Creator
He was also deeply passionate… (He did’nt have to find motivation, juggle his schedule to find time to worship.
He was Hungry for God.

Many of His Psalms are addressed directly to God, ALMOST AS IF WE ARE PEEKING INTO SOMEONES PRAYER JOURNAL

Noticed we can tend to be selfish people, even in our approach to God.
Worship isn't about fuzzy feelings and emotional experience, in fact it’s not about us at all.
Remember its ascribing worth, praise, glory and honor to Him.

This is the Goal… Should be the desire for all believers!!!
but how often do we tend to go at it alone...
Desire is one thing, Devotion is another, but you are going to need something to energize that devotion.
That something is God himself, the revelation of who he is and joy of knowing that he has chosen you and me to experience his goodness and represent him to a lost and dying world.
