Body

The world reflects and prepares for New Year’s Resolutions
3 Billion people with little/no access to Gospel
around 150,000 deaths a day
Gospel is the only remedy to cure the source of death
Need for missions—many PCAC members have responded
Culture War against Christianity
Jack Philips, Masterpiece Cakeshop
Abortion - leading cause of death in American, 60 million since 1973
The world is in big trouble
Things can look bleak, but don’t have to:
We have a mix here
Revelation 21:5 NET
And the one seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new!” Then he said to me, “Write it down, because these words are reliable and true.”
All things will be made new whether we’re paying attention or not
New Year is starting, what is it going to look like for you?
Opportunity to write a letter to yourself:
What you hope they learned, accomplished, avoided, and you can also state your current hopes and dreams so that in one year you will be able to see yourself one year earlier.
You will put it in the envelope, seal it, put your name on the back between the closing and the letter, and hand it back to me. I will return in a year.
Write a letter, as long as you want. I’d recommend doing at least a page.
Don’t mess around with this.
This is gonna be awesome!
My recommendation
Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not, but don’t be content with where you’re at.

Strive for greatness, especially when it comes to knowing Christ.
I won’t read these, only you will. Here is an opportunity to dedicate this next year to bringing glory to Jesus instead of self-aggrandizement
I am very excited for what the next year has in store.
Letter:
What do you want to happen in 2019? How do you envision that happening?
What strengths of yours do you want to increase and excel at?
What do you want to change about yourself?
What do you want your faith to look like at the end of 2019?
What prayer requests do you want to see answered?

I’ll be hanging out here. Drop off your letter when you’re done, and please don’t be too noisy
