Hared is an authority of the Roman Government.

He was put into office by Rome not by God.

These men were probably wise men from royal courts

Here we see that Harod makes the mistake the disciples make, He is trying preserve his human/ political power.

Jesus did not come to take the throne Saul or David established.

Jesus did not come for Isreal alone, He did not come for what Isreal lost, He came for what Adam lost.

Just as Isreal was under false Government so are many of us.

Preachers talk a lot about the don’ts.

we don’t talk often enough about the do’s.

fear, rather than faith.

we don’t need to stay on this too long, but trusting God.

Surrendering to Jesus means letting him open treasure to you, and you opening treasure to Him.

they obeyed the Leading of the Lord. the star was the Lords leading.

they where brought into the presence of the Child Jesus, ‘

the presence of Jesus brought them joy.

there are several kinds of Giving

there is giving of your Talent

none of us have to un-decorate the Church because a man gave of His time to do so.

I did not have to clean the church because some people gave of their time to do so.

money is saved every time some one uses a talent for the Lord.

money was saved because a local business blessed us with electrical work.

people are able to come to church because people give of their time and talent to do so.

People open their treasures to the Lord.

Obedience Brings Protection

the wise men were protected by the dream.

mary, Joseph, and Jesus were protected by obedience to the Lord.
