9/ Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything your land produces. 10 Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with the finest wine.[1] /

This week I saw a woman on Christian television and she was closing the service. She said, “If you have some spare change lying around send it in.” I cringed. That is a beggar mentality. That is what the homeless say when they beg for a meal. Yuk!

I reject that. It isn’t Biblical to bring God your leftovers. Bring God your first and best. Honor God with your wealth. Don’t dishonor God with spare change.
