I. Everyone is a Slave to Someone
Should grace produce a low view of sin?
A. We should not be slaves to sin
A. We should not be slaves to sin
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be! Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?

For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
ἐδουλώθητε from δουλόω: it means slave, to enslave, to make someone a slave.
