It’s time for a change.

2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB95
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
II Corinthians
If you are a Christian this verse applies to you, and it took effect when you were saved.
But, if you are a Christian and you are not walking as close to God as you should be, you may need to revisit this verse, you need to make some changes in your life.
I believe there a lot of people who want a better spiritual life. A better stronger prayer life, a closer walk with God. If that is the case, then there are some changes you need to make. Time to do things a little different.
Intro: I believe there a lot of people who want a better spiritual life. A better stronger prayer life, a closer walk with God. If that is the case, then there are some changes you need to make. Time to do things a little different.
That is what we have to do as a church. That why we are having a study on prayer. And we will be a “house of prayer”.
The ministry of Jesus (now in His 2nd year) had caught the attention of many. He had cast out demons, healed the sick, lepers. And His teaching was someone no had ever heard.
He also forgave sins.
Last time we were in Mark, Jesus had called Levi (Matthew) to follow Him. Matthew had Jesus and His disciples eat with Him and his friends. And they questioned Him about eating with sinners.
The religious leaders would not associate with anyone other then their self righteous friends. This was a change that needed to be made.
In these verse Jesus will show them, about something old and something new.
Many of the religious leaders in Jesus time did not realize that they were spiritually sick.
a. Now if you are not walking with God like you should be you may be spiritually sick, but you may be spiritually week. If you want to change, you have to be willing to put froth some effort to change.
b. You can just be a Christian, or you can be a follower of Jesus. Being a follower means a change. Peter, Andrew, James and John. Matthew.
