What?

A reminder to Christians, especially in Ephesus, to maintain their love for God, His word, and His calling on their lives; a practical treatise of the impact of the saving work of Christ on love in life/relationships (

Why?

Paul was deeply invested in these Christians and those to whom they had spread the Gospel.

His love for them moved him to challenge and encourage them to maintain their love of God and faithfulness; Love & Truth!!!; emphasis on the family (proving ground for love applied); no specific ‘issue’ immediately evident…though we know from John that there was/will be.
