Jesus Taste Death For Everyone
Jesus Taste Death For Everyone
When Jesus stepped out of heaven, He became man. This is why the Bible says he was made a little lower than the angels. Contrary to what some people say about him being an Angel, he did something angels do not do. He died!
Jesus died the death that we are suppose to die. Romans says that the wages of sin is death. But Jesus did not have any sin. This means that he died a death for our sin.
Jesus died a substitutionary death on our behalf, so He could satisfy the wrath of God towards us and bestow His righteousness and holiness on us.
We may ask, “Why did he do that?” or ,”who did He do it for”? We did not merit or earn this blessing of God. He did it because He wanted to. The Bible says it was by the grace of God. God’s grace is not giving us the punishment we deserve for sin, but instead giving us eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ. John says, “Whosoever believes in the Son of God will not perish but inherit eternal life.”
Jesus did not come and die only for church going folks that presume they are righteous because of what they do. Jesus came and died for sinners.
6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
29 And Levi gave a big reception for Him in his house; and there was a great crowd of tax collectors and other people who were reclining at the table with them. 30 The Pharisees and their scribes began grumbling at His disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with the tax collectors and [c]sinners?” 31 And Jesus answered and said to them, “It is not those who are well who need a physician, but those who are sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance.”
Because Jesus humbled himself to take on flesh and suffer death, God allowed Him to taste death for everyone. This is good news! This means that we don’t have to die.
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Jesus Is the Author Of Our Salvation
Jesus Is the Author Of Our Salvation
Author Archegos trailblazer n. — a person who founds or establishes some institution; especially understood as having made a breakthrough in some area.
The Letter to the Hebrews The Essential Suffering (Hebrews 2:10–18)
One basic idea clings to the word in all its uses. An archēgos is someone who begins something in order that others may enter into it.
Jesus has started a family that others can be a part of. It originated in who he is.
All things are created for Him
All things are created for Him
All things that are made are made for Christ. All things are ultimately going to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ.
10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Every person ever born will bring glory to the name of Jesus.
All things are created through Him.
All things are created through Him.
Everything ever created was created by Jesus.
For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
As the author of all things created, He has authority over all things created.

Bringing many sons to glory
In Christ Jesus we can go through suffering and death because He has set the example.
Hebrews: The MacArthur New Testament Commentary Our Salvation Author
He did leave the way open. All we have to do is put our hand in His hand and He will lead us from one side of death to the other. When we accept Him as our Savior, we can say with the apostle Paul, “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1 Cor. 15:55).
Jesus Is Our Sanctifier!
Jesus Is Our Sanctifier!
Jesus makes us Holy! He has done this legally and is doing it functionally.
Legally we are declared not guilty in the eyes of God. Our sin has been removed by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. This means that all of our sin has been atoned for and we are saved. Once we are declared not guilty by God we are set free from the penalty of sin! Our standing before God is not guilty!
Functionally Jesus is making us holy. He is replacing the old man with the new man. We are becoming less like ourselves and becoming more like Christ. He does this by the indwelling of His Holy Spirit. His Holy Spirit convicts us of sin and also guides us into paths of righteousness. If you are a believer here today, you understand the conviction of the Holy Spirit. It is that unpleasant feeling in your soul that is meant to bring you to a point of repentance.
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
The conviction of the Holy Spirit will always result in change.
The Holy Spirit also guides us into paths of righteousness. He does this by changing our wills. We move from selfish ambitions to living our lives for Christ and serving others. The way He does this is by changing our passions.
Jesus Is The Devil Defeater!
Jesus Is The Devil Defeater!
The only power Satan had over humanity was death. Satan knew that God required death of anyone who sinned. It is his mission to see to it that everyone sins. He started with Adam and Eve. Since then every person born has committed sin. It appears as though he is victorious. Because man cannot save himself and must be punished by a holy God.
When Jesus died on the cross, He took the power of Death away from Satan. Man can now be reconciled to God, through His shed blood.
I remember as a 15 year old being terrified of death. I knew that there was a heaven and a hell. I didn’t know that there was a Savior. I just thought that if my good deeds outweighed my bad deeds maybe God would let me into heaven. I came to realize that there was no way I could make it! Then Jesus called my name and introduced himself to me! He is my Savior! I fear death no more! Satan has been defeated and I have eternal life!
Have you met my Savior? His name is Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God! He wants to be your Savior today? He has conquered death and hell for you!
Jesus Is Our Tempter Title Holder
Jesus Is Our Tempter Title Holder
Jesus was made just like us. He suffered temptation the same way we do. As a matter of fact, He started his ministry out in temptation.
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
Jesus faced the same temptations that you and I face. The things that we struggle with, Jesus struggled with. The difference is that he never gave into temptation and sinned.
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
This means that when we are tempted, we can call on Him for help. He will give us the strength to endure and overcome the struggle with temptation.
13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
This tells us that we do not have to give into sin, but we can have power over sin. God always provides a way to endure it. He gives us His Strength.
