6 Ons sal juig oor u oorwinning en in die Naam van ons God die vaandels ontplooi. Mag die Here alles gee wat u vra.
AS KIND VAN GOD KAN ONS OPTIMISTIES WEES OOR DIE TOEKOMS.
Definisie van optimisme
7 Dit weet ek: die Here sal aan sy gesalfde die oorwinning gee! Uit die heilige hemel verhoor die Here sy gebed; die Here gee deur sy groot mag aan hom die oorwinning.
8 Sommige vertrou op strydwaens en ander op perde, maar óns, ons vertrou op die Naam van die Here ons God.
Die vermoë om die toekoms met selfvertroue te kan sien en ingaan. Vir gelowiges is dit moontlik as gevolg van hul kennis van God.
Optimisme (van Latyn optimum wat “die beste” beteken) verwys streng gesproke, of ten minste oorspronklik, na 'n wêreldbeskouing of lewenswyse waarin daarna gestreef word om in die beste van alle moontlike wêrelde te leef. Vandag word die konsep oor die algemeen in 'n swakker sin verstaan wat neerkom op 'n geloof in 'n goeie uitkoms. Wanneer ons hierdie psalm lees kry ons met kenmerkend twee soorte mense te doen, Die wat op hulle self vertrou en diegene wat op God vertrou. Dawid wys op die kontras tussen hierdie twee soorte mense.
In hierdie Psalm gaan dit oor ‘n spesifieke persoon waarvan ons lees in

7 Maar daardie dag was daar toevallig een van Saul se werksmense daar by die plek van aanbidding. Dit was Doëg, ’n Edomiet wat toesig gehou het oor Saul se veewagters.

19 In Nob, die priesters se stad, het hy ook almal wat daar was, gaan doodmaak—mans, vrouens, kinders, babas, beeste, skape, donkies, alles.
Aan die begin van die Psalm openbaar Dawid drie bosse eienskappe in die lewe van Doëg.

The thought conveyed in this Hebrew word is not necessarily that of a person strutting around making extravagant claims to others about his or her abilities. Rather it is that of a smug self-sufficiency that does not parade itself openly simply because it is so convinced of its superiority. Sometimes outward boasting is a cover-up for a person’s inner insecurities, but that was not what Doeg was like.[4]
As ons hierdie stukkie geskiedenis lees sien ons dat die inligting wat hy in Nob bekom het, het hy eers stil gehou om dit te gebruik op die regte oomblik. Dit dui ook op sy slinksheid.

· Tweedens, Doëg was lief vir dit wat BOOS is.
He might simply have been trying to advance himself with Saul. But his ruthless murder of the priests of Nob and their families showed that he actually hated all who stood for righteousness—Ahimelech stood for righteousness and had spoken truthfully when he was interrogated by Saul—and Doeg wanted to eliminate such people and thus advance and align himself with the most evil aspects of Saul’s deteriorating moral character.[6]

Dawid maak dit baie duidelik hoe sy lewe is. Ek is gesond, ek is besig om te groei. Al is alles teen my dan groei ek steeds.
