Joy Over Just One Saved
A. In our text today we find those looking in on sacred scenes.
1.
We know that followers of Jesus go to heaven when they die.
2. But what do they do?
3. How much do they know of earth's happenings?
4. We're not sure, but here is one thing that brings heaven joy: the salvation of sinners.
B. We are told that there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over every earthly salvation.
1. Let's keep making the inhabitants of heaven happy.
2. Why?
Because of the Importance of the Soul
A. There is a mad race in the world today to possess things.
B. But the title deed to the entire earth would not be enough to compensate for the loss of the soul.
C. How much attention do we give the body?

I read that the average American spends approximately $112,000 over their lifetime on fitness and exercise.
2. People go to great lengths to dress up the body, fixing up the body, face lifts, tummy tucks, etc.
3. Very little attention is given to the soul.
4. So why is it important to lead others to Christ?
Because of the Increase of Heaven’s Population
A. Every soul that comes to Christ is one more that will be in on the joy there.
B. Joy that is shared is multiplied.
C. The indescribable blessings there…the beauties.
D. The fellowship there with saints and with the Lord
Because of the Investment of the Savior
A. This is the reason He came to earth.
B. He could have called ten thousand angels… but He died alone.
C. All that is involved in His suffering and death for us...

His suffering in Gethsemane
2. His trial…the scourging…the crucifixion
3. The precious blood of Jesus ()
D. The purpose of the redemption
Because of the Reality of Hell
A. Each one saved is another plucked from the flames
B. See : the rich man and Lazarus
C. It is amazing what people will risk for a little money.
D. The trade-off doesn’t make sense.
E. Same thing in the area of pleasure for a season
F. The joy of heaven compared to the awfulness of hell
