In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Redemption is a concept that is present throughout the Bible
Israelites from Egypt
land passing from original owner to another ()
Main point is that someone is set free or belong to another and here Paul does mention that cost of redemption which is ”through his blood”
Do you see yourself in bondage?
What or who are you in bondage in?
If Christ is your savior then what are you holding onto to keep yourself in bondage?
We oftentimes think of bondage as being forceably held against our will. This is one aspect of bondage, but the most prevailing ones are those where we knowingly turn to our fleshly desires, temptations, pride, etc.

Do you practically believe that God has a purpose for all that you do? Do you think it’s for some stuff more than others?
This wisdom and insight (v8) is to help us see the truths and to also solve problems. It’s not mere intellectual ascent that other religions would promote.
Ephesians 1:10
Ephesians 1:10
as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
When Paul writes “unite all things” he’s referring to spiritual and materuial things, as he qualifies the statemeant with heaven and earth things. When writing this, there is a conflict in Asia Minor where spiritual officials are agianst Christ and other “mediators” are placed between God and man.
Paul is saying that everything (material and immaterial) will be unified in Christ
We separate our lives in terms of church and non-church. Our political system, educational system all do the same.
Where do you find yourself separating your life into church and other?
Different ways that we do this is by our attitude, profanity, drinking, lack of kindness, lack of compassion.
