What is God’s Will concerning our life, family, finances , ministers and relationships, health, character and etc.
Once you know His will in these areas, you now have a goal to work toward.
This is were you faith exercise begins
As we enter the New Year 2019 - We have to increase our faith in God and in His Word. We have press into a high level of God’s Character and Glory in this season.

Define Faith

Expository Outlines on Hebrews 16. The Faith that Prevails (Hebrews 11:20–31)

Faith dares to trust God to do the impossible. It sees the unseen. Faith does not look at circumstances; it looks to God. Faith does not listen to people; it trusts God’s Word. Faith is exciting; faith is enjoyable. Faith does not accept defeat; it sees victory. Faith doesn’t look at the past; it looks forward to a glorious future. Faith in God sees the unseen and trusts God for the unknown future.

Every one of us is giving a measure of Faith (portion of Faith). Everybody faith is not the same. But somebody is except to exercise their Faith to get stronger.
Every one of us is giving a measure of Faith (portion of Faith). Everybody faith is not the same. But somebody is except to exercise their Faith to get stronger.
Hebrews 11:1 ESV
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrew 11:1
Now Faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things (we) do not see and the conviction of their reality (Faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.)
What true faith will do:
Hebrews 11:33 ESV
who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Who by (the Help of) faith subdued kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promised blessings, close the mouths of lions.
Hebrews 11:34 ESV
quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.
Hebrews 11:35 ESV
Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life.
God want to bless us, but want you to have Faith in Him
Faith begins where the will of God is known:
What is God’s Will concerning our life, family, finances , ministers and relationships, health, character and etc.
Once you know His will in these areas, you now have a goal to work toward.
This is were you faith exercise begins:
Exercise your faith. . .by your actions
Here are seven keys to exercising your faith.
First, what you do in life. . .will be a reflection of what you’ve learned.
John 8:38 KJV 1900
I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
in the Amplified Bible says:
Here are seven keys to exercising your faith.
First, what you do in life. . .will be a reflection of what you’ve learned.
in the Amplified Bible says:
“I tell the things which I have seen and learned at My Father’s side, and your actions also reflect what you have heard and learned from your father.”
2. Second, our greatest desire should be for our deeds to reflect His instructions.
Psalm 119:5 KJV 1900
O that my ways were directed To keep thy statutes!
in the New Living Translation says:
in the New Living Translation says:
“Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!”
3. Third, faith must be an action or it will always be inactive.
James 2:17 KJV 1900
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
in the Amplified Bible says:
in the Amplified Bible says:
“So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).”
4. Fourth, it’s a team effort. . .faith. . .knowing that God’s Word is true. . .and actions which unleash faith into the natural realm.
James 2:22 KJV 1900
Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
in the New Living Translation says:
in the New Living Translation says:
“You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.”
5. Fifth, you will be rewarded for the actions you take. . .and consequences when you don’t.
Proverbs 24:12 KJV 1900
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; Doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his works?
in the New Living Translation says:
in the New Living Translation says:
“Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.”
6. Sixth, our commitment to bring glory and honor to His name. . .will automatically bring success to ours.
Proverbs 16:3 KJV 1900
Commit thy works unto the Lord, And thy thoughts shall be established.
in the New Living Translation says:
“Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.”
7. Seventh, you’ll be paid for your faithful actions.
Revelation 22:12 ESV
“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
in the Amplified Bible says:
in the Amplified Bible says:
“Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.”
“I tell the things which I have seen and learned at My Father’s side, and your actions also reflect what you have heard and learned from your father.”
Expository Outlines on the Life of Christ 21. Faith and Power (Matthew 21:16–27)

21. FAITH AND POWER

Matthew 21:16–27

I. The attitude—vv. 16–20

A. Praise—v. 16. “Yes,” Jesus replied. “Didn’t you ever read the scriptures? For they say, ‘Even little babies shall praise Him’ ” (LB).

B. Place—v. 17. They stayed in Bethany overnight.

C. Personal—v. 18. Jesus was human, so He became hungry. He was not only the Son of God, but the Son of Man as well.

D. Power—vv. 19–20. Christ cursed the fig tree which did not produce fruit. Note the warning of Christ to those who do not produce fruit (John 15:6).

Christians should produce the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22–23), and should also win others to Christ.

II. The acceptance—vv. 21–22.

A. Power of faith—v. 21. If we have faith and do not doubt, we can remove mountains. Faith is necessary to please God (Heb. 11:6). Faith should grow. Read Hebrews 11 to see how these great men saw wonders performed by faith.

B. Practice of faith—v. 22. Note how we can have all things we need when we pray. The three steps are:

1. Ask (Matt. 7:7–9).

2. Believe (Heb. 11:1).

3. Receive (Jer. 33:3).

God makes it so simple for us. All we have to do is ask Him, and He will meet our needs.

III. The authority—vv. 23–27

A. The concern—v. 23. The chief priests and elders asked Christ where He had received authority to do many things. They were really more critical than curious.

B. The control—vv. 24–26. Christ was always in control. The rulers sought to trap Him many times, but He always had the correct answer. He questioned the chief priests and elders about John the Baptist’s baptism. If his baptism was of heaven, why didn’t they believe him? If his baptism was of men, why didn’t they accept Him as a prophet?

C. The confusion—v. 27. They could not answer. Jesus told them, “I cannot tell you by what authority I do these things.” In other words, because the rulers would not answer Christ lest they convict themselves, He wouldn’t answer them.

Expository Outlines on Hebrews 14. The Meaning of Faith (Hebrews 11:1–3, 6)

What is faith? It is trusting God before you see Him. It is making the impossible become possible. It is accepting God’s Word without a doubt. It is trusting God to divide the Red Sea. It is trusting God to make the walls of Jericho fall. It is building an ark before it rains. It is walking on the water when Christ says, “Come.” Faith does not ask questions. It does not make excuses.

in the New Living Translation says:
“Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!”
1 John 5:1–15 ESV
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
Third, faith must be an action or it will always be inactive.
Enemy No. 1 – Failure to Understand What It Means to Be a New Creature in Christ
in the Amplified Bible says:
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
“So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).”
A lack of understanding of what it means to be a new creature hinders our faith life. Many people do not realize that they are actually new creatures; they think that when they were saved God just forgave them of their sins. But it would do little good if this were all the sinner received, for he is a child of the devil and would still go to hell. He has to be born again. He has to become a new creature, putting off his old sinful ways. No, we are not just forgiven sinners. We are not barely-getting-along church members. We are not living at the end of the block on Struggling-to-get-to-heaven Street next to Grumble Alley. That’s not for us. We are new creatures, created by God in Christ Jesus with the very life and nature of God in our spirits. We are children of God, sons of God, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ Jesus.
Fourth, it’s a team effort. . .faith. . .knowing that God’s Word is true. . .and actions which unleash faith into the natural realm.
Enemy No. 2 – Failure to Understand Our Place in Christ
in the New Living Translation says:
Everywhere I go I suggest that Christians go through the New Testament, particularly the epistles, and write down the phrases, “in Christ,” “in whom,” and “in Him.” Writing them down will help you to remember them. There are 133 such expressions in the New Testament. If you will read and meditate on these scriptures until they become a part of you, life will be different for you. As you read these verses, say to yourself, “This is who I am. This is what I have in Christ Jesus.”
“You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.”
In one church where I visited, there was a woman who the pastor described as one of the most outstanding Christian workers he had ever known. She was graduated from a leading seminary with a degree in Christian education, and she gave her services to the church free of charge. During our revival there I urged the people to begin memorizing and claiming these verses. After awhile this woman came to me and said that she had written down twenty-five of these scriptures and had begun to confess them. She said that since she had been doing this, she had become an entirely new and different person. She had found that she didn’t worry any more. She said that she thought and acted differently. She felt differently. She was amazed at herself and couldn’t help but say sometimes, “Is this really me?” I told her that she was just now beginning to walk in the light of what she had all the time. She, just as many other Christians, didn’t have an understanding of what Christ is in her life, and this hinders faith. Getting this understanding cured this woman of her worry habit.
Enemy No. 3 – Failure to Understand Righteousness
Fifth, you will be rewarded for the actions you take. . .and consequences when you don’t.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
in the New Living Translation says:
The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin () and therefore by the new birth we become a righteous new creature. We know that God did not make any unrighteous new creature. We are created by God in Christ Jesus. He made a righteous new creature. We are sons and daughters of God as though we had never sinned. We can stand in His presence without sin-consciousness, without any feelings of guilt or shame. We don’t have to be tongue-tied because of fear. We can come into God’s presence because we belong there. When we were born again, our sins were remitted because our past life stopped existing. God said that He would not remember our transgressions (). And if He doesn’t remember them, why should we?
“Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.”
Sixth, our commitment to bring glory and honor to His name. . .will automatically bring success to ours.
“But I have committed sins since becoming a Christian. How can I be righteous?” some may ask. The answer to this question is found in , “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When the believer who has sinned confesses his sin and asks for forgiveness, the Lord does two things: First, He forgives him. Second, He cleanses him from all unrighteousness.
in the New Living Translation says:
When we have sinned, we feel guilty and have a sense of unrighteousness. We feel unworthy to come into God’s presence. But when we confess our sin, He forgives and He also cleanses. We regain our right standing with Him.
“Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed.”
The word “unrighteousness” is just the word “righteousness” with the prefix “un” in front of it meaning “not” or “non-righteousness.” If we are cleansed from “nonrighteousness,” then we are righteous again.
Enemy No. 4 – Failure to Understand Our Right To Use the Name of Jesus
Seventh, you’ll be paid for your faithful actions.
23 … Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. ,
in the Amplified Bible says:
When we fully realize the power of Jesus’ name, when we understand what that name will do, then we can defeat Satan and enjoy victory.
“Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.”
In the sixteenth chapter of Mark, Jesus told His disciples, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe … ().
To them that believe the gospel these signs shall follow them – not just the Early Church, not just the apostles, not just the preachers. All believers can cast out devils in His name. Every believer has authority over demons and evil spirits in the name of Jesus. In His name they will speak with new tongues. In His name they will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. [Note: But the scripture also says: “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure” (). You can only cast out demons where you have the approval of the person prayed for, and it is dangerous to be presumptuous about this. We should be specifically instructed by God. However, when it comes to ourselves, our family, and those for whom we are spiritually responsible, we have this authority].
The name of Jesus has authority and power today, and that name belongs to us.
Enemy No. 5 – Failure To Act Upon the Word
If we know that God’s Word is true, and we act as though it is true, then it becomes a reality in our lives. The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (). All that is necessary for us to ask is, “What does God’s Word say?”
People often ask me why they don’t receive healing. They quote scriptures such as “… Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (), and “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed” (). They tell me they believe these scriptures. Then I ask them, “But have you ever acted like these verses of scripture are true?”
At the age of forty-six, Dr. A.B. Simpson, a Presbyterian minister who later founded the Christian Missionary Alliance, was told he was dying of a heart condition and had only six months to live. He took a leave of absence from his church and went to his farm where he could spend time studying the Word of God. At the end of two weeks he wrote, “After searching the Word of God for two weeks, I am convinced the Bible teaches us that divine healing is for us today. And, I this day accept Jesus Christ as my healer and declare that I am now healed from heart trouble and I’m well. I promise God to use this new-found strength and life and energy entirely for His purpose and to further the gospel. I promise God I’ll share this truth of healing with others and will help them.”
Simpson went to a luncheon where he was the speaker. All that came to him to speak was one word “himself” in . So he opened his Bible, read the verse and told the audience he wanted to focus his attention on that word. Then he gave his testimony about how he had been searching the Bible and had come to the conclusion that Jesus still heals today.
After the luncheon he was invited to go mountain climbing by the men to whom he had spoken. His first reaction was that he couldn’t because of his heart condition. Then he remembered he had declared his healing, so he accepted their invitation and went. Up to this point he had not really felt his healing but had just declared it. He battled all the way up the mountain. Every time he got his mind off the scripture, he began to feel pain. But he overcame these feelings of doubt, and as he claimed his healing again all the symptoms would go away. He fought this battle all the way to the top of the mountain, but he walked away victorious. He went on to lead an active, energetic life in God’s service with no more symptoms whatsoever.
Real faith is the child of the knowledge of God’s Word. Simpson acted on the Word and got real faith from it. Instead of trying to believe, he acted upon the Word.
Enemy No. 6 – Failure To Hold Fast to Our Confession of Faith
10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them. ,
A young minister in St. Louis once said to me, “I am thirty-two and the doctors have said it is impossible for my wife to have children. Will you talk and pray with us?” As we talked and prayed together, his wife said she would confess that they would have a child. In the past she had always said that she would like to have a child. Now she would say that they would have a child. Twelve months later I received a letter saying that they had a bouncing baby girl. All they needed was to act upon the Word.
Faith is measured by our confession. Our usefulness in the Lord is measured by our confession. Eventually we become what we confess, whether for good or bad. There is a confession of our hearts and a confession of our lips, and when these two harmonize, we become mighty in our prayer life. The reason that so many are defeated is that they have a negative confession. They are talking of their weaknesses and failures, and invariably they go down to the level of their confession.
There is a scriptural law that I discovered from the lips of Jesus in , , which is quoted above. This is that our confessions rule us. We are what we say. The woman with the issue of blood, whose story we find in , said, “If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” Jesus said, “Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” What she said was her faith speaking, and it came to pass.
When we “fight the good fight of faith,” as the Apostle Paul admonishes us, we can step out of the narrow place of failure and weakness in which we live into the boundless power of God.
Memory Text: “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses” ().
Faith in Action: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only ….” ().

Levels of Faith" As Recorded in the Bible

The Bible has a lot to say about different levels of faith. While some types of faith are somewhat related, others are distinctly different, with names such as common, great, genuine, and one we all hope to avoid, wavering.
Christian faith is based on God's promises, rather than feelings, or things visible. Great faith holds fast regardless of outward appearances. "And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform," ().
The one who truly believes and has faith will act on God's Word, with perfect assurance that his request will be granted.
(Click for Definition of Faith)
These fifteen Levels of Faith are found in Scripture at random. They are listed here in this order only for practicality.

"Measure of Faith"

We begin with measure of faith because without it none of the succeeding steps of faith would be possible.
A measure of faith is given by God to all men.
It is a faith that has not grown but is sufficient for belief in God and salvation.
In it is referred to as "The Measure of Faith."
The Measure of Faith is a gift from God.

"Growing Faith"

A growing faith steadily progresses from the measure of faith to a great strong faith.
A growing faith is pleasing to God: "We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly..." (,
As nutritious milk helps a baby to grow strong and healthy; Spiritual food will help a baby Christian grow into a deeper level of faith.

"Great Faith"

An unrelenting totally persuaded type of faith, that does not give up until the request is granted.
A Centurion who had asked Jesus to heal his sick child, and whose faith was so great that he said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed." "When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!" ()
And there was the woman from Canaan, a Gentile, (not a Jew). The Gentiles, as a rule, had very little, if any, faith in God.
This woman requested Jesus to heal her severely demon-possessed daughter. When Jesus refused, saying that He had only been sent to the Jews, she persisted, and demonstrated a level of faith so great that it brought the following response from Jesus:
“...O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire..." (). Great faith will always move God to answer.

"Unwavering Faith"

Sincere, Unbendable - (opposite of wavering) - To believe God without question.
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." ().
Unwavering faith is to count those things that be not as though they are, (; ).
There is no need for God's Children to be trapped in fear, weakness, poverty, or despair.
To receive from God we must believe and hold to our faith without wavering, ().
"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways," ().
All things are possible with God, and nothing is beyond His power. Unwavering faith gives thanks for the answer from the moment it asks, then looks forward to its fulfillment with child-like expectation.
When you genuinely believe, you have acted. The act of believing is a necessary step in getting what you want from God.
"He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform" ().

"Strong Faith"

"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God,"().
Abraham had a strong faith that refused to surrender or be defeated. Following the faith of Abraham is the way to receive what might be considered impossible and unprecedented.
Strong faith will not be turned away. Regardless of the situation or outlook, it digs in and holds fast until it receives what has been asked of God.
Most Christians desire this level of faith, but it seems that only a few can maintain faith, while thanking God for the answer in advance.
I believe another term for strong faith might be, "Ruthless Faith." The kind that refuses to doubt and waver when things do not seem to be going as requested of God. This is the way to get tangible answers from God.

"Historical Faith"

Jesus used Scripture as one of four witnesses, to prove that He was the Messiah, the "Son of God:"
1. The witness of John the Baptist
2. The witness of His works (Signs)
3. The witness of God the Father
4. The witness of the Scriptures
"You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me," ().
The Scriptures Jesus used to persuade the Jews will also speak to modern day man. Fulfilled prophecy and manuscripts, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, provide proof that Jesus was who He claimed to be.
Historical levels of faith are bound to the records contained in Gods Word. The proof is there for anyone willing to do the research.

"Active Faith"

"Doer of the Word," (; ).
Active faith takes action as soon as the Word of God is understood. It is actively doing and living in faith as if the things requested of God although not yet seen, are a reality. Active faith is a requirement for receiving from God.
Answered prayer is perhaps the greatest faith-building experience possible. How great to pray to Almighty God, and to have Him answer. This is God's plan, and it can happen to every child of God.
"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you," ().
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." ().
According to , anyone in Christ is a new creation; old things have passed away; all things have become new.
You must become aware of your new life in Christ.
You have the Spirit of Jesus within you, as well as His love and nature. His power flows through you to bear much fruit. Jesus died to make this possible. Cling to His promises, allow His Words to give you the faith to ask and receive.
Do not waste these benefits, be a doer and not a hearer only. Being in Christ gives you the right to act on the Word to bear fruit in obedience to Jesus. Faith is a mighty force that knows no defeat.
Faith is action, in counting those things that be not as though they were (; ).

"Genuine Faith"

This type of faith permits no deception, pretense, charlatans, or braggarts. It is a genuine and sincere faith that flows from a true heart, with the desire to do what is right.
"when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also." ()

"Common Faith"

A faith commonly or mutually shared by all Christians who believe humanity can find salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ the Messiah, Savior of the world, and that He hears and answers prayers.
In , it is referred to as, "common faith;" in God shared by all Christians that makes it possible to Obtain Eternal Life.
"Titus, a true son in our common faith..."
In , The Apostle Paul uses the word, "mutual faith."
"That is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me."

"Human Level of Faith"

Human Level of Faith Is the exercise and determination of man to have confidence in any object or person, as he chooses, including the Word of God. He can choose to have faith that a chair will support him, that which another person tells him is true, or, that the sun will continue to rise each morning.
The devil caused mankind to fall in the Garden of Eden and is the one who brings doubt and unbelief today. He doesn't mind if you chose to believe in a chair or the word of another person, but will do all in his power to destroy your faith in God's Word. Faith that Move God

"Faith Without Root"

Jesus spoke of having faith without root. It is the type of faith that springs up quickly, and beautifully, but because it has no depth, fails just as quickly when temptation and trials come along. For the most part, this is because the soil has not been adequately prepared by digging and searching for knowledge, guidance, and truth, in God's Word.
"...the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away" ().

"Little Faith"

"Fearful, displaying a lack of total trust;" was used by the Lord as a tender rebuke for anxiety and fear." (Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary)
"if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?" () "But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm, ().

"Weak Faith"

"And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb," (.
"Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. 2 For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables," ().
Examples from the Bible of weakness in faith were of those who considered it a sin to eat meat. In our day, a person weak in faith might continually argue over areas of the Bible he/she does not correctly understand but has formed a personal opinion.
For someone to forbid and condemn the things he considers to be sin, when there is no clear leading in scripture, would be a sin.
"But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin," ().
A person of little faith will find limited opportunities to benefit from the Gospel, and very little of the peace and joy that should accompany the Christian life.
Those who are strong in faith are told to accept the weak: "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves," ().

"Faith Without Works"

"But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works," ().
Faith without works passively believes and accepts the Bible literally, but without action. Many people believe and have faith that God can do all His Word says. They believe in miracles, yet fail to act on His Word.

"Wavering Faith"

"To bend," "to be insincere,"
James encourages believers to put their faith in action: "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed," For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord." he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, (, KJV).
A wavering faith is one that doubts and is unstable in all his ways. Unbelief is either refusing to act or ignorance of the Word of God. Regardless of how impossible the situation the answer is unwavering faith.
A wavering level of faith is also double-mindedness, which means, "two-souled," a constant changing of the mind, (Vines). A double-minded person cannot maintain a consistent course of action, but wavers back and forth, both in faith and in their actual requests of God. Their double-mindedness prevents them from holding tightly to their requests until they have received the answer.
