Don’t Rest Upon Your Laurels - vs 4-6

Paul had every reason to be proud of his identity

The Philippian Church was a strong church that Paul did not correct for error in his letter.

The temptation is to get satisfied with where we are.

The good is often the most dangerous enemy to the best.

When we feel confident in our positions, it is most often because we are comparing ourselves to others.

Reset Your Vision - vs. 7-11

The desires of our flesh and that which gratifies our psyche should not be the focus of our our lives.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Paul says that all of the accomplishments that were so important to him before Christ he has counted as pure garbage (vs. 8 - rubbish) in comparison to his goal.
