Well, that's a joyous every week. Never know what they're going to say. I'm just thankful that some of the stuff they say is in our microphone. That's all I had. That's all I can think that this is a surprise for him. All right, before we get into the passage this morning. I feel real quickly. We're going to have a very short next week. We're going to have a very short business meeting following the morning service. So if you'll just trying to make a note of that this is our bylaws, basically a last-minute call thing and that we have to call it we can go ahead and put that down and and make note of that. All right, and then we'll observe the Lord's supper and and what goes into that if you will open your Bibles to James chapter 1 It started last week and they're at work when the second half of change one in verse 19. And as we read this morning, we're going to stick topic walked out when they talk about everybody knows it's got to be carefully taught about money cuz everybody starts to comfortably.

What nobody's even laughing this morning, but now there's there's a few subjects we get it to him. I would say if you could sum it up this way. It's putting legs on what we hear. You got a stew it. You got to make what in Hugo got to make it to something and this is this is what this is all about James chapter 1 verse 19 says this, you know my beloved Brethren, but everyone must be quick to hear slow to speak and slow to anger anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God here for putting aside all And all that remains of wickedness in humility receive the word implanted. I want you to I want you to mark that in your mind there the word and plant in and think about that for a minute and I just let that germinate in your mind which is able to save you save your soul yourself tours of the word and not merely sure to delude themselves for if anyone is a cure of the word. She is like a man looks at his natural face in a mirror for once. He is looked at himself and gone away. He has immediately forgot what kind of person she was but one who looks intently at the perfect wall the wall of Liberty and the buy expire not having become. Forgetful hearer but in a sexual sewer, this man will be blessed in what he does. If anyone thinks himself to be religious Bridal his own heart. This man's religious religion is worthless religion in the sight of our God and Father is this to visit orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world. Let's pray God we thank you today. Forgiving us a tough word. From the book of James. We thank you God for giving us a challenging message today. And we pray that you would help us to leave here. Not hearers only but doers of the word in Jesus name we pray. Amen. If you take a look at this passage the word and in our minds admittedly recalled that the passage the parable that Jesus gave of the sower and the seed and what what that's what Jesus said about that. He says the word of God and it takes up residence and it grows and there's a Planter's the fertile grounds. But in some in the in the Rocky ground it is taken away in in the in the way Forney ground soaked out. It's those we see those different ground. We need least think of this passage here. We have to connect the two of them. Is implanted into our lives like a planted in the ground and if that's just the fact that you're here with at least lead us to imagine or believe or hope that the word in your life is in Fertile ground and it's growing in you that would make it implanted word in your life not interesting enough when the word in plants into somebody's lives those roots begin to spread if you've ever put a plant into a pot and then later come to check on it to make sure that that that it's okay eventually what happens is those routes and Compass the shape of the pot right and you can you can pull the plants out the form of the pot because the roots have in infiltrated every part of somebody's wife. If God would have common and take an x-ray examination of the implanted word in your life. The question would be if he if he can pull that out to examine it with the root word look like the image of your body with look like the ends of your whole self, or maybe it hasn't got to every place if you yet how does implanted word infiltrate every part of your being because I believe if we allow the word of God to do is work and we don't stand in the way if we Nursery if we see the word in our lives, then it should infiltrate every part of us. It's route should reach to every every farthest part every deepest part of our hearts. It should you should Gather in within us everywhere and Encompass the entire being of who we are and if that's the case then the implanted word has a great effect on who we are it changes us to our Corby. You see here's the truth. Nobody encounters Jesus Christ and leaves the same. You cannot encounter the Savior and leave the same some reject him and be changed by that rejected and some will accept him and be transformed by the renewing of their mind for Jesus Christ. You see when we encounter Christ and he takes up residence in your life. It's the old cell. If we allow the Holy Spirit to do his work and our lives. It's it's simple really there's really only two things that we can notice in this passage that we will take a look at this morning. And the first one is this when you have the implanted word church if it's in if it encompasses you if it's God's word if the sea is in your life and you have accepted Christ into you this happens, if you cannot hear the word of God and not be a doer with it. Who is this that's deep sometime. If you cannot hear the word of God and not have a reaction to it. Will read in another passage it is next week in in in this book will read that it if we have faith we just works and it works visible representation of our faith in Jesus Christ, and I know we get into some sticky territory for me try to figure all that out and we don't want to compromise what our Salvation is. This Jesus comes into your life and transforms us into action for him more fights in the real for Christ. Anything else is deceitfulness. It was it's like he gives the illustration the guy goes looks in the mirror and when he looks in the mirror and he sees himself, all right, and then he goes away and he wants me to get his it doesn't change his actions. We put it in the real terms this morning. I got up and I looked at my phone and I checked the weather and it was it was in the thirties and I don't know where about the rest of y'all of where you come from where I come from if it gets in the thirties, that's when you put your hand in the frigerator to get to write anything else is ungodly.

Weather report it compelled me for certain form an action. You want to know what compelled me to do. You could tell me to put a sweater on over my shirt and put a coat on her for that because I want to stay warm right? I'm a little sick headed. It took me a while to figure this out. And and I didn't I didn't quite get it. I'd wear my coat starts to freeze. Why is it and then I started looking around and all the Smart Guys in our congregation takes me awhile to sink it right, but eventually good knowledge change my actions.

Because I got tired.

So the knowledge of God's word should change our actions and it transforms us into some of your lives differently. We can't be here when we hear the message hear the word of God. We should not walk away from the mirror. Of this morning's worship out the door and forget what we saw in the reflection of that mean. It would be a shame for the church to walk out of worship to walk out of hearing and reading the word of God. And leave that door and forget what the message was it would be a shame for us to walk away. Here's only and not doers as well.

The word of God for the Christian compose us to action.

But let's let's let's take a look at that. You know, if it is Who We Are

The reality is what boys think about religion if you want sure and undefiled religion go take care of the orphans. Go take care of the widows. Go take care of those who serve the world and keep yourself unspotted from you. Hey, if you want to know what religions all about you, and I wouldn't go out because you were of the world tour of the work in me if he's going out in serving the world while remaining on stained from the filthiness of the world are called to a higher standard were called to go out and take care of people to go out and empty generous punch. Ferry from what what everybody else is in the process of doing that right into your second point this morning. And that is this if you want to have the implanted word of God really take root in your tire life has to be on stain from Spain for the world send out of your life. Do you know why the church is so ineffective these days it's because we've allowed infiltrate into the body of Christ. You know, if we want to make a difference in this world without a start with making a difference allowing the Holy Spirit to come in and clean up our own wives. How can we expect to go take out the trash of the world when our own crash in our household is piling up how how can we expect to help clean up the world's to help people up out of the filth the Meyerson with when we're dirty when will still see ourselves conversation right now in our country what's going on in there's this great of morality. And here's what's happening in this debate of morality. The church is fighting Super Mario World and fighting our weekend because of our own

We have chosen to point out something while ignoring our own since we have become like the man who tries to pull the splinter out of his neighbor's eye when we have a bean.

Whatever Whenever I help the world with their sim problem if we don't take care of our own syndrome. Listen to church I get it. This is not a popular topic. I get it. We don't want to hear about our own since we don't want to hear about our wickedness. I want to hear about the problem. We have internal. It's much easier to look at the world and say we are. but if you want to help people

or if you want to honor God, you have to keep yourself unstained from the filter the war. If we're going to make any difference or any any impact this work if we're going to rise above and be a light for this world and unstained from this.

Send it. It ruins people's why it brings death destruction Devastation. Send bring sorrow, it brings pain and if we're going to bring help Hope. a better way we've got to do it without if we're going to bring the joy of Jesus Christ. We can't contaminate it with our own set. the problem is we get down on our knees. We said God forgive me if I send it. Instead of saying God forgive me when I sent it is if we're going to repent. Which Hall at our sins would beg.

You see religion simple folks. We don't have complicated.

Easy simple. Is there anything in this life? That's not simple? I mean just going down to the the office.

It just go into the grocery store and buying food is complicated.

I mean, this is unbelievable everything in this world complicated mess and she's loving it. You said the reality is when it comes to church. Let's keep the message real and to the point when it comes to religion when it comes out.

You keep it simple. We are honored Jesus by going out into the world and serving others and keeping our self and stained from sin. Boil it down to doing that and we become a church that makes a difference. We have what we call the Lord and in in the time of the Lord's Supper the time of reflection. It is time of introspection and as we look at this. And we think about the sacrifice of Christ it always always always reminds us of our sin our filthiness it always reminds us what we came out of our past. And so when we think about the Lord separate snack talk about the Lord's Supper about that where we can remember what Christ did for the in just a moment we'll have the Lord's supper if I could have the men come on up there going to be serving this morning and begin to prepare. For that gentleman, you can have a seat on the front and as we have this time of the Lord's Supper what I would challenge you this morning to do. It is simply this. To think about what Christ did to say to remember. What what what you were And what he saved you out of there. So averse in the passage will read and just a moment that talks about that the Unworthy manner. He says therefore eats the bread and drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy shall be guilty of the body in the blood of the Lord and an assistant but a man must examine himself and in so doing he has to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. Any idea of the Lord's Supper is to take a moment to examine ourselves on the inside because I am and who we are and to allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to us where we still need to work. And as we examine ourselves and then eat of the bread and drink it if he comes a reminder of what we have been saved out of it becomes a reminder of the fact that we are new and Jesus Christ and his forgiving us from our so this morning as we observe the Lord's Supper to allow this to be an examination time of your life.
