how do we know MTCC?

I have a Good friend named Rick Defoore, he is the remaining elder of MTCC.
several years ago we were unable to pay the electric bill at the Rock, Rick defoore was one of the men that without question wrote us a check, in a very real way keeping the doors open.
the Previous Pastor spoke at one of our first Holy Convocation.

why does Cotra Care about what happens to MTCC?

Luke 10:29–37 NKJV
29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

Key Verse:

Luke 10:37 NKJV
37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

Church on the Rocks’ own Struggle

when I took Church on the Rock-Abilene many people left the church for two main reasons:
They where heart by the founding Pastor and wanted to leave the pain behind. (I didn’t realize it at the time, I took it very personally.)
Next, their where people who left because they didn’t think I could pastor the Church. some of these people were people that I considered friends. when they left it wounded me deeply.

The enemy’s biggest tool is to make someone feel alone.

(NKJV)
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
fellowship is one of the keys to keeping the voice of the enemy out of the ears of God’s people.
sometimes i don’t want to step up, is because we don’t have it all put together.
we don’t sometimes realize its a presence | perfection thing.
