We have to do something different

I have always enjoyed playing games where it requires you to figure out the solution.

What I have learned.

There's always a solution.

You don't realize the solution with brute strength.

You don't realize the solution trying to be smart.

You don't find the solution just because you want it to come now.But I discovered when I sit still, pray and pay attention I usually figure it out.

I have learned life is that same way.

There's a problem.

For every problem there's a solution.

When I sit still, pray and pay attention I see the solution.

The movie Troy: Odeyssous knew, we have to do something different.

We live in different times. And we have to do something different.

Some people are given to change, while some take deep root and dread transplanting.

we remember the past, we know the present, and we dread the unknown of the future.

Charles Spurgeon says it this way, “We are familiar with the wilderness tribulations, but we shudder at the Jordan, which lies before us and the giants, and the chariots of iron, which are yet to be encountered. We are not given to change, but are far more likely to settle upon our less.”

Jordan was the last obstacle they had to cross.

It means nothing to go through all the experience only to face the Jordan river and refuse to go all the way.

Jordan River separates the wilderness from the promise land.

Mt. Hermann to the dead sea.

Crossing Jordan is what allows the promise to become a reality.

Somethings significant about the word cross.

They had to go over/through something and they didn’t determine or decide what that something was going to be.

To sit before a raging river for 3 days would have done two things.

1. Shown the impossibility of

of being able to cross the river.

2. It would have tried their patience.

Wherever they saw the Ark/Lord moving they were to follow.

Keep 1000 yards between them and the Ark of the Covenant.

Consecrate and wonder both have a basic meaning the share root meaning; different or to be different.

To sit before a raging river for three days that is impossible to cross, it becomes clear that something different has to be done.

The norm is not going to work.

They could not think of a plan that would work.

They have to be different and God is going to do something different.

You have to be different, I am going to do something different and I am taking you to a different place.

You have not passed this way before.

different leader, different place, people had to be different, God did something different and he would lead them through a different place.

Jesus would have to pass a way he had never gone before.

And if God would bring him out, he can and will take us through to bring us out.
