intro

Which one are you? Which one would you rather be? I ask this because i am seeing many mocking christians.
Lets just take a moment to make sure we understand the difference between the two.
An Ambassador:
2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV 1900
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Let me tell you what makes special about an ambassador.
Ambassadors are special representatives of a country staying a foreign country, but even although they are in that foreign country they remain only under the laws and customs of their home country.
They have what is called diplomatic immunity. They are not answerable to the law of the country that they are visiting, they dont live by that countries laws, customs, beliefs or standards.
They obey and follow the laws and practices of their home country.
As ambassadors of Christ we are citizens of Heaven.
Philippians 3:20 NLT
20 But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.
Heaven is our Home and Jesus is our King, but we are on a diplomatic mission to a foreign country: Earth.
Earth has its own laws, its own rules, its own standard, its own morality, its own beliefs. It worships its own God.
2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV 1900
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
The kingdom of heaven has its own set of laws, morals, beliefs, principles and standard.
And the ambassador of Jesus, lives his life on earth, not conforming to earthly standards, but living as a citizen of heaven.
Ephesians 4:1 KJV 1900
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
What about a Mocker?
Galatians 6:7 KJV 1900
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
So lets just get this straight: It is impossible to mock God successfully. But many people still continue to try.
Now the mockers of God are not atheists, atheism can no more diminished the glory of God as a mad can diminish the brightness of the sun by screaming at it.
The people who do more mockery are lukewarm Christians.
Let me give you an example: The problem is that lukewarm christians treat God with contempt and disrespect. They treat Him like an idiot. They thing that God somehow cant see through their immaturity.
Lets look at how the prayer lives of lukewarm christians mock God.
We all pray. Mature Christians pray, immature christians pray, lukewarm christians pray, even atheists pray in foxeholes.
Here is a question: Does God hear all these prayers?
No. No He does not. And to think that God is somehow obligated to hear every prayer is a mockery of God and His Word.
Let me show you something that scares the sin out of me everyday of my life:
Proverbs 1:28 KJV 1900
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; They shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
Why?
Psalm 66:18 KJV 1900
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear me:
Listen to this very clearly: If you have iniquity.
What is that? Disobedience. If you are guilty of being disobedient to even one of God’s commands, then God WILL NOT HEAR YOU.
Why else do you think the bible calls us to live holy lives if it was not important?

Lets ask a few questions:

A couple engages in fornication.
1 cor 6 18:
1 Corinthians 6:18 KJV 1900
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
A christian skips church for whatever silly reason.
Hebrews 10:25 KJV 1900
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
A christian lies about what they did or what they said.
Proverbs 12:22 KJV 1900
22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: But they that deal truly are his delight.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
so called christian gambles...
Philippians 4:19 KJV 1900
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
A christian gossips about one their brothers or sisters.
James 4:11 KJV 1900
11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
A husband treats his wife with content and fails to show her the love she is owed.
Ephesians 5:25 KJV 1900
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
A wife refuses to submit to her husband and acknowledge his spiritual headship.
Ephesians 5:22 KJV 1900
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?
A married person engages in the viewing of porn.
Matthew 5:28 KJV 1900
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Is that couple guilty of disobeying God? Will God hear their prayers?

Reality

God is mocked when people think that God is so stupid, that they can sin, be disobedient, regard iniquity - and still pray expecting God to hear them.
How arrogant must a person be?
Let me simplify this for you: If you are being disobedient then dont wait your time praying because God will not hear.
This is terrifying:
I dont know what i might need to pray for tomorrow.
I cannot afford to a single day, a single hour with God being deaf to my prayers.
What if Bella gets sick? What if Kim gets hijacked? What is Kim looses her job? What is i am in an accident? What if tragedy befalls my loved ones?
What if I need God’s help, grace, what if i need his providence, what if i have a favor to ask of my God tomorrow? but im being disobedient today - God will not hear.
Example:
I saw a post of a member - hasn't been to church in over a month, hasn't attended a worship service, - living with the partner.
Say on facebook _”Ill keep xyz in my prayers” and i thought - what a waist of time.
What on earth will give you the impression based upon scripture that God is intrested in hearing your disobeying hearts prayers?
What a mockery of God holiness.
