Introduction - There is a new level of authority and influence the Lord wants you to walk in.
As a Christian we must WALK IN THE AUTHORITY OF GOD. When we do this, it will make us...
Change the atmosphere.
Go where nobody else can go.
Extend HIs Kingdom to others- Healing and freedom
Matthew 8:26–29 KJV 1900
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
More than a conqueror…
Matthew 8:26-
4. People will listen to and follow you. Paul told his captors during the Euroclydon to cut the ropes. And they did it.
There are three stages of development.

REIGNING OVER SELF -

first of three stages of development
Jeremiah 12:5 NKJV
“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, Then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, In which you trusted, they wearied you, Then how will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?
first of three stages of development
We must handle the lower levels of responsibility before entering into greater spheres of authority. -
Must be able to run with footmen before contend with horses.
Must not grow weary in peace before he can enter the floodplain of Jordan.
If I could kick the person in the butt who has caused me most of my problems, I wouldn’t be able to sit for a week.
How do I reign over myself?
Galatians 5:16 KJV 1900
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16–17 KJV 1900
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
What does the Spirit look like?
Galatians 5:22–23 KJV 1900
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
John 16:33 KJV 1900
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
2 Peter 1:4 KJV 1900
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
We must master ourselves before we reign in any other area.
If I could kick the person in the butt who has caused me most of my problems, I wouldn’t be able to sit for a week.
1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV 1900
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Sacrifice determines success. Success is more a choice than a circumstance. Choose wisely.
It may not be immoral but it can still be detrimental

REIGNING IN OUR FAMILY

Loving my wife as Christ loves the church -
Submitting to my husband as to the Lord -
Training our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord -
Illustration -
Jill has responsibility over the house.
I have responsibility to pay for the house.
Our diligence keeps the house in excellent condition.
Our boys are trained by delegating responsibility to them as soon as they are ready for it.
Luke 16:10–12 KJV 1900
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
little things come before bigger things
natural before supernatural
Anothers before my own
A HUGE PROBLEM IN CHARISMATIC CHURCHES IS
“PEOPLE GET RELIGIOUS INSTEAD OF FAITHFUL” and
Arriving at work late saying “I come when the Spirit moves me.
Mom tells me to do my chores and I say “I’ll pray about it”
Boss fires me because I was prophesying during work hours.
Pastor says I need an usher in parking lot.
“PEOPLE GET RELIGIOUS INSTEAD OF FAITHFUL” and
REIGNING IN THE CHURCH
Before I go to the third heaven and learn about the fourth seal fix the water leak, cut the grass and feed the children.

When we reign over ourselves and in our natural families God begins to teach us to reign in our spiritual family.
1 Timothy 3:5 KJV 1900
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
Faithfulness in natural things brings revelation of spiritual things.
The natural precedes the supernatural.
1 Corinthians 15:46 KJV 1900
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
Faithful with natural brings the supernatural
John 14:12 KJV 1900
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Do the work to do the greater works
Altar Call -
You can trust me, Lord. I’m going to be faithful to manifest the supernatural.
I want people to follow me closer to the King
I’ll do the work so greater works can be accomplished.
I
I’m going to humble myself so you can exalt me in due time for your glory.
Im willing to die to self so someone else can live.
Up to 47% of what we do daily is habitual. Some say as much as 90%
21 days to form a successful habit
6 months to solidify the habit - Caroline Leaf in her book Switch On Your brain says it take several 21 day cycles to make the new habit automatic.
If you’ve been doing something repeatedly for many years it will be more difficult to change. Entrenched habits have deep roots.
