Priorities

A man bought a picture and asked the interior decorator to assist him in hanging the portrait in the right place.  When the designer walked in the room, the man held the portrait in one place and then in another.  Finally, the designer said, “You are going about this all wrong.  What you need to do is move all the furniture out of the room and then hang the portrait where you want it, then arrange all the furniture in relationship to the portrait.

How often do people see God as a nice addition to the furniture of our lives?  Does that happen with you?  What we need to do is remove all the furniture, put God in the central place, and then arrange all of the furniture of our lives in relationship to Him.

God speaks to us about priorities.  This is what Jesus meant when He said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.”
