Introduction

Love is a term that is often thrown around quite a bit in today’s culture. We often hear that we need to love. However, what is love? What does it mean to truly love somebody? The answer is found in God’s word. God has shown us what it means to love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins

I. God’s Love

God’s love is the definition of what love is
God is love!
God has created all things, including love
God’s love was demonstrated for us on the cross.
it was revealed so that we know what love truly is
We are the recipients of that love. Everyone

II. The Need For God’s Love

We are all born sinners “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
The Holy Bible: King James Version. (2009). (Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version., ). Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc.
You are a sinner regardless of how good of a person you are
This is a truth about all people, and to think otherwise is foolish
Sin separates us from God
God is holy
God can have no part of sin
God must punish sin.
This is why God demonstrated is love to us.
God has shown the highest form of love to you!

III. God’s love shown to us

This is why God demonstrated is love to us.
God has shown the highest form of love to you!
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
This is where fully exemplified is love for us
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
The Holy Bible: King James Version. (2009). (Electronic Edition of the 1900 Authorized Version., Ro 5:8). Bellingham, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc.This is where fully exemplified is love for us
