INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
When we were created, it was with a purpose and a plan.
One of the most important things to God is how we end up.
How does the story called life play out?
Whenever God creates us, he does so with great intentionality. There is a biblical law called the Principle of Original Intent— which suggest that whatever God does or whatever he creates he does so with the end in mind.
The will of God is always tied to purpose. And when we understand purpose, we realize that purpose is the path towards destiny.
We must first know that purpose is the path towards destiny.
Destiny — is how I end up (destination) (Jeremiah 1:4)
Give some strategies for reaching our destiny
3 STEPS TO ACCOMPLISH DESTINY
3 STEPS TO ACCOMPLISH DESTINY
1. Imagine it!
1. Imagine it!
§ God saw the world before he created it.
§ God has given us a creative ability within us that manifests in the earth realm, so then we got to get an image of what our destiny looks like.
§ Most of the pictures of our destiny have come during the darkest moments of our life. God said that this is ok, because pictures are often developed in a dark room. You will sometimes see your destiny like never before while you are in the darkest moments of our lives.
You are not sitting in a chair or pew.
§ You are sitting in a manifestation of an idea.
§ A blueprint was given to a chair maker so he would know what to make.
§ Without the image or imagination the blueprint would have never be manifested.
2. Believe it!
2. Believe it!
§ When you imagine things, it is often out of our hearts passion, but your heart has to line up with your head. Your head convinces you that what is in your heart is not possible.
§ What the enemy doesn’t know is you are partnering with God to bring your destiny to pass. It might not be possible for you, but it is not impossible for God. You have to believe it and then what you see is possible.
3. Do it!
3. Do it!
§ Doing it separates believers from doers. Some people never ever get up to do the thing. They are always fixing to do something.
a. We have to start speaking what we see. We imagine something happeining in our life. Once we believe it we see it and speak it. Our language doesn’t speak of the negatives. We speak to the thing we see in the supernatural. We have to speak it, though it might not be yet.
YOUR CHOICE DETERMINES YOUR DESTINY
YOUR CHOICE DETERMINES YOUR DESTINY
1. Decisions (now) determine destiny
1. Decisions (now) determine destiny
Outcome determinative – The decisions you made when you were young, determined the course of your life. If you don’t take care of body when you were young, it catches up with you when you get older
1) Solomon helps us understand how to think through our decisions properly.
A. - Talks about taking wise steps.
A. - Talks about taking wise steps.
says 1A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke. This scripture talks about taking wise steps.
says 1A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke. This scripture talks about taking wise steps.
B. The right steps — We have to have someone to speak into our lives that give us spiritual wisdom. It may be a Pastor or mentor or parent. Never get to a point where you can’t allow someone to speak spiritual accountability into your life. If you don’t learn to speak or listen to people that is supposed to speak into your life, your outcome may turn out different. Ex- They say ÿou got to have a plan. We need somebody to speak into our life according to God’s word and promises.
2. What you say determines destiny
2. What you say determines destiny
A. - Words are powerful
A. - Words are powerful
says 2A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence. 3He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. -Words are powerful.
i. The very thing we saw, we have to learn to speak that thing into existence. We can’t allow others to speak to our destiny and we not speak to it.
ii. Even if people think we are crazy, we speak to the stuff that we saw it in the spiritual realm.
iii. Imagine it, believe it, and speak to it.
B. Close your eyes and imagine yourself owing no bills, no debt, and having a surplus left over in the bank. When you see that, it generates a response.
o Close your eyes and imagine all the debt you have, all the problems you have, and all the people you owe. See how depressing that was. When you saw that place, it was real to you. You got to understand the power of your mouth and start speaking to what you see.
DOING THE RIGHT THING determines DESTINY
3. Actions determines destiny
3. Actions determines destiny
A. Doing it - Pt
A. - Destiny is contingent on how much you have or don’t have
A. - Destiny is contingent on how much you have or don’t have
The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;
But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.
A righteous man hates lying,
But a wicked man is loathsome and comes to shame.
Righteousness guards him whose way is blameless,
But wickedness overthrows the sinner.
There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing;
And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches.
The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke.
Proverbs 13:4-8:says 4The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. 5A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame. 6Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner. 7There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. 8The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke. -There is a such a thing as knowing how to properly appropriate financial blessings as it relates to your destiny.

a. Your destiny should never be contingent on how much you have or don’t have. You were never supposed to chase stuff. Instead, chase your destiny and stuff will chase you. Running afer stuff is not runing after destiny. When you run after destiny, money will chase you. Goodness and mercy follows us all the days of our lives.
b. The only reason God prospers us, is to finance purpose. Prosperity funds purpose. If you aint doing nothing, you won’t ever have nothing. What is the point of God giving you finances if you are not doing anything?
Ex. Winning the Lottery
A Person who gets finances too quickly and don’t understand purpose will soon have nothing, because they didn’t know what to do with the finances they got
c. God wants you to pay your bills and be out of debt. Solomon says you have to be careful. If you get it too quick, you sometimes don’t appreciate it. When you work for it, then it takes on a total different meaning. Some of you will be the first generation of wealth in your family. It is important for you to let your kids know where you really came from so they will learn to appreciate what you have.
B. If we understand it, then it doesn’t ransom us. Proverbs 13:8 says 8The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke. – What does ransom mean?
· When you buy new car, what is your worse fear? It is not paying for it that you worry about; it is somebody hitting your car.
· When you got on white tennis shoes your worst fear is somebody stepping on your shoes.
· In other words, it ransoms you, because you have a fear of what will happen to the things that have value in your life.
· When you in destiny, you don’t have the ransom. Ex- Job lost everything, but he realized that the Lord giveth and taketh way, but blessed be the name of the Lord. He was not ransomed by his stuff. God will always take care of people in destiny.
4. Remember David in , there is
Illustration: Story of David and Goliath ()
Illustration: Story of David and Goliath ()
This is a story of somebody who laid hold of his destiny.
1) God gave him a series of defining moments.
a. 1 Samuel 17:26 says 26And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
b. David is about 5ft’ 11. Goliath is about 15 feet tall. Goliath weighed about 500 lbs and sound like a mighty army and it was one man. All of Israel was afraid of him. David saw Gods prospective and recognized his purpose and filled with faith, he IMAGINED something, BELIEVED something, and knew he had to take ACTION.
2) David looking at Goliath makes a confession of faith.
a. 1 Samuel 17:36 says 36Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. -David realized that this was one of his defining moments.
b. They paraded all of David’s brothers in front of Samuel and they were not chosen. Instead it was a frail David would fulfill his destiny. When God gets ready to bless you he will bring you out of obscurity. When it is our time, it is our time.
10. David killed a bear and a lion barehanded. This was a defining moment. If you don’t appreciate your history, you won’t appreciate your destiny. You must remember where you came from when walking towards your destiny.
III. LOOK AT YOUR EXPERIENCES (spiritual sign-post)
Look at all of your experiences and remember the people, the events, the circumstances, and the struggles, the negative and painful situations.
1. Put them in chronologically ordered from top to bottom. To get to destiny, you have to pay attention to spiritual sign post. They point you towards your destiny. Romans 1:17 says 17For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. -When people give direction, don’t tell them to go down the road half a mile and turn left. Give them some signposts and landmarks. If you ignore signpost, you will pass stuff up and not even know it.
2. Take (and write down) 3 things that were significant signposts that were defining in your life (They don’t have to always be positive; in fact most might be negative). It could be a loss of a loved one, loss of a job, or loss of a marriage.
3. Notice that there is a correlation in everything that you wrote. Where were you during that time?
4. Ask yourself:
a. Were you in church at the time?
b. Were you interpreting this situation spiritually or carnally?
c. Notice that now that you are in the word of God, the things you went through now reveal that they were signposts. When we look back, we laugh at some things we cried about back then. We can now see that God was speaking at the point of your signpost.
5. How can there be a correlation with the bad situations that we had? For example, if you would have stayed with that person you broke up with, you would have embraced a miserable life with that person. You need to walk up to your sign post and just say thank you.
6. David was able to take his destiny by force? It is not just about hearing our having faith. You got to act on it. 1 Samuel 17:45-46 says 45Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. – You looking at your giant scared, because all you see is your giant. Tell your giant what you see. Don’t just tell your giant he is going down. Tell him how! Don’t be afraid to speak what you see. You got to start speaking that thing into existence.
7. In the end, David killed Goliath. You will be victorious.
5 COMPONENTS OF DESTINY
5 COMPONENTS OF DESTINY
This will be so simple some will miss it.
Research — Decision — Investments — Preparation — Departure
1. Research
1. Research
– Giving you this is important, because it has to do with how you travel. Your destiny has to be viewed as a destination.
Ex. If you are going to Hawaii or New York, we have got to do some research.
§ How do we get there? You know where you going… But what’s the route?
§ If we going to New Orleans, why are we on I-167?
§ When research Research (Waves App): not only says go this way or that, it tells me how long the trip is.
§ If you take one route and another person takes another: then there is no need on hating on a person for getting to their destination 1st. We’ll both get there, but it just might take a little longer
2. Make a decision
2. Make a decision
– How will we get there?
How will we get there?
§ If we go to Hawaii, we can’t drive. Have to Make a decision to fly or cruise.
§ You can’t take a boat to New Orleans, but we can drive or catch a bus.
§ You can say it all day long, but if you don’t go, it will never happen. For example, what will we major in? Do we have a business plan to help us achieve this goal?
3. Investments
3. Investments
– Are you willing to pay the price to get there?
If we’re going to LA, we got to pay the fare. (Do research—Make Decision)
§ You may find that driving can be more expensive than just flying.
§ Some people walk around with the Debo spirit evident by them saying “What you got on this?”
§ Are you willing to spend that much time to do it?
§ You don’t have to arrive 1st class. You can ride coach. The plane is going to get there at the same time.
4. Preparation
4. Preparation
What will you pack and what will you leave behind?
§ You cannot go to this destination with everything left in your closets
§ One reason is because you will be screened through security. Baggage cost money. The more baggage you have, the more run up your price tag
5. Departure
5. Departure
– Departure means you have made a commitment to the destination.
No turning back after the plane takes off.
Have you ever been sitting on a plane, and after it takes off and starts cruising at 20,000ft. Then all of a sudden you decide you don’t want to go. You can’t try to stop the plane. This will end you up in jail. You can’t get to such a high altitude and then change your mind.
Like this: once you have been elevated, you can’t just change your mind, because you got other folks lives in your hand.
§ Go for it, despite your setbacks. Just because it hasn’t happened, it doesn’t mean you won’t get there.
o Philippians 3:13 says 13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,-
