If you're searching for the world's strongest creature, don't think elephants or whales--look instead to beetles. The average rhinoceros beetle can lift about 850 times its body weight. To equal the power of this 6-inch bug, 350-pound Ryan Kennelly--who holds the world bench-press record of 1,075 pounds--would need to max out at 300,000 pounds. That's the equivalent to lifting 80 Toyota Camrys.

I was recently reading in a book of by Martyn Lloyd Jones called “Seeking The Face of God”
In it he reflects on in our ability to limit God in our lives.
The Psalm are a collection of Psalms written by a variety of men that are very heartfelt as individual come to grips with living in a culture opposition to belief of God.
is a review of Israel’s history to reveal how they treated each other, but also reveal how they treated God.
The History lesson was so that they might teach future generations of the greatness of God.
How can we teach a generation that doesn’t understand a God who they think is so limited ....
Nothing New … Israel limited God by the way they thought.
Testimony in forgot Him
Remembered Him
Lips but not heart
How can we prevent this from happening to us?
We need to show them the God of the Bible.
Remember God’s Passion for His People.
Remember God’s Passion for His People.
We can fall into the same trap of thinking if not careful. We can begin to limit God because we don’t understand our position.
But my people would not hearken to my voice; And Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: And they walked in their own counsels.
11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
What would God have done for them?
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, And Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, And turned my hand against their adversaries. The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: But their time should have endured for ever. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: And with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

What about us today?
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;”

Remember God’s Precious Promises for us.
Remember God’s Precious Promises for us.
“That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:”
What do we find when we look back at this past Year. Was this a year where we sought God or self?
Have you limited God this past year?
We remember when we see God clearly through his Word.
:3
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Their heart is as fat as grease; But I delight in thy law.
2 Peter 4:1-4
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Remember God’s Powerful Presence in us.
Remember God’s Powerful Presence in us.
Change is possible remember
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Assurance of Salvation
Romans 8:29
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Assurance of Forgiveness
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Assurance of Freedom
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Free not to live recklessly but righteously in Christ.
Wesley said in a Hymn “Thou O Christ, art all I want,
More than all in Thee I find.”
