I. Who is the Church?

1. The church is a body of believers, .

Romans 12:5 ESV
so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

2. The church is a spiritual family of believers….

…Who support each other, .

Hebrews 10:24–25 ESV
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

…Who correct each other, .

Galatians 6:1 ESV
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

II. Why Join a Church?

1. I can express my commitment,

3. I become accountable.

III. What is Expected of Church Members?

1. I will keep my promise.

2. I will seek unity,

3. I will practice Iove.

4. I will be obedient.

5. I will make commitments.

i. I will attend faithfully, .
