God says he is our Shepard and we shall have no want.
Jesus during his Sermon on the Mount spoke many words of encouragement and truths to the people listening. What we are going to discuss to day is in . He gave an example about the birds to demonstrate how much God loves us.
Don’t Worry, Don’t Anxious, Don’t be concerned about your situation

25 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

26 “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

27 “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

28 “And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,

29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.

30 “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

31 “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’

32 “For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

25 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

God created us in his own image
God sacrifices himself by coming to the earth and die a crucial death
God says what he holds in his hands, nothing can pry away
God says he is our Shepard and we shall have no want.
Don’t worry about the things we can’t change or prevent. We must depend on the wisdom of God whom we have placed our trust and faith in.
2. God is our provider

“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

What do we know about the birds? The travel all over the country. Nature is their wisdom. When the weather changes to fly to areas of the country where the weather is less fierce. In the south during the winter season, we see more birds.
There are worms provided in the ground for their nourishment. Leaves to build their nest.Ponds, lakes for their water supply. Even man wants to take credit and create bird food, bird houses, bird sanctuaries
But Jesus says that our heavenly Father takes care of them. He doesn’t need our help.
God made us in his image - we are more precious to him. We are his children. He will take are of our needs. We don’t need to worry or be anxious.
That is a challenge for some because we don’t know what the day will bring but we must be confident in the wisdom of God’s plan. What ever happens today, God has already provided for our needs.
If the heavenly Father takes care of the needs of the birds, what shall he do for us.
3. Stay in Faith

30 “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

Our faith is weaken during times of worry and anxiousness. But we’ve got to encourage ourselves as David spoke. We’ve got to remind ourselves of the word of God and the victories we had because of God’s love.
a. The bible speaks on having faith of a mustard seed. If we can maintain that mustard seed faith. We have big faith while things are going great but when things begin to shake up our faith sometimes become shaken. But let’s not let it get smaller than a mustard seed. A mustard seed is so tiny that if you get less than that you probably have lost all faith. And then Satan has you where he can do the most damage.
4. Keep your eyes on the Jesus. Remember his word.

Remember your scriptures that helped you through. Hold on to God’s word. Remember the battles in your life that God won for you. Hold on to the memories. You are going to get through this spiritually. For you will be strengthen on the inside which manifest itself on the outside.
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Your testimony of how great God is in your life, will strengthen the life of others. Be a light in your community at TellaBella. Daily, seek first His kingdom and righteousness and all these thins will be added to you. Acknowledge him daily (whether in pray, song or word) and he will direct your path.
Amen.
