Everything has a purpose

Ecclesiastes 3:1–8 KJV 1900
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace.
There is a time for everyhting. Anbd there is a purpose for everyhting. How terrible to go through a time, for a purpose and totally miss that purpose.
What are the purposes behinf the times?
The purpose of birth? The purpose of death?
The purpose of planting? The purpose of reaping?
The time to kill may come and has come for the purpose of ridding the owrld of tyriny and oppresion.
What about a time to weep? What could the purpose of that be? And the time to laugh - that has its purpose.
Every season of our life is part of a specific time, that has a specific purpose - To glorifgy God and draw us closer to Him.
The tradgy is going through a season, for a reason and NOT growing.
Sowing seeds is good. Reading a harvest is good. But theyr are only good in the right season. If you sow seeds in summer they will dryout and die. If you try reap in winter, they will not have any fruit and the harvent will be terrible.
Everything has its season, and everything season has its reason.
we may not always know the reasons, but we can always trust that God is on controil of the seasons.
Daniel 2:21 KJV 1900
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, And knowledge to them that know understanding:
John 13:7 KJV 1900
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
this is particularry true when God is doing som ething new in our lives.
Mechanic stands to the side cause he knows he is doing.
How do we make sure that we dont miss the purpose of the seaons we face?
1: Do the work of God.
John 6:29 KJV 1900
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
2: Do the work that must be done in EVERY season.
KJeeping with the farming analogy: Some things are aseaosn specif like sowing and reaping. But others things are done year round in all seasons - watering and protecting from pests.
Psalm 34:1 KJV 1900
1 I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 62:8 KJV 1900
8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
1 Thessalonians 1:2 KJV 1900
2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
Philippians 4:4 KJV 1900
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
These are “year round” things that we can do, that will help us understand the season more clearly.
But the second thing I want to take from our passage of ecclisiatsing is that all things are always onlt for a season.
One of our great mistakes that we make is that we are very prone to write our current sorrows in stone.
We forget that seasons change. That winder turns to summer and that night turn to morning.
This is a very powerful demonic delusion that Satan tries to influence God’s siants.
Psalm 30:5 KJV 1900
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
At times we feel like we are in a constant neverending night, but that is simnply not true. God has set the course of seasons and season always change.
You have to endure the winter so that you can enjoy the summer.
The same child that brough pain to iyts mother in one szeason, bring untold you to her in another.
The pain of pruing a tree in one season, bfring new fresh leaves and harvets in another.
And the sorrow and pain of season, always gives way to the joy and peace on another.

Seasons Change

The knowledge that seasons change bring a whole to level of grace to the good times we enjoy.
If winter can turn to summer, then its also true that summer can turn to winter...
This is not a bad thing, as we have said every season has its purpose, but what this does is bring a whole new level of appriciation for the pleasnent seasons of our lives.
It reminds us to be thanksful and content. It reminds us to be kind and compassionate. it reminds us to be paitinet and gracious.
It reminds to never take anything for granted, and to live humble lives before God.
It reminds us that we are in constant need of God’s goodness and grace.
