New Year’s resolutions are a tradition in our society.
Of course, you can make them at any time, and should.
But we also recognize the weaknesses of the flesh and we should take advantage of this event as we begin a new calendar year.

Study my Bible regularly – – especially outside this building – – to be equipped with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding for every good work –
Pray more – – for inner peace – – to keep alert with thanksgiving – – in joy
Fast – – to minister more effectively for the Lord
Develop one talent this year – – to enter into the joy of our Master
II) I resolve to take the fight to Satan –
Eliminate one weakness – – which goes hand in hand with developing a talent – – making it that much harder for Satan to tempt me –
Strengthen the weak – – even if you have to look for them – ; – don’t wait until they have completely lost their faith
Lead someone to Jesus – ; – nothing crushes the head of Satan more than another soul who chooses life
III) I resolve to add something to this church –
To attend every service of the church, which takes determination to accomplish; Why do it?
1) spiritual food – ; ;
2) fellowship with other saints – ;
3) worship God – ;
Serve one another – ; – but not just financially – ; , – like Timothy and Epaphroditus
Concl: Let’s resolve this year to be more useful to God than we were last year.
