Love Always
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Matthew 22:37
Love in action is a daily event.
The thoughts we have, the emotions we feel, and every action is a demonstration of the love that dwells in our hearts, souls, and minds.
Our very state of love, is dependent on the guarding, refreshening, and pouring out of the very thing that keeps us moving forward in Him… Love.
To love always is to represent Jesus in every moment.
Let us “be imitators of God, as beloved children.
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
One of our daily prayers should be that we align ourselves with the truth in every moment, the truth which is love.
Our lives are not our own and God has planned every moment to either use us, bless us, or refresh and teach us in Him.
To have interest in something is not to love something, to be curious is not love, to somewhat believe is not love, to pick and choose is not to completely love.
We are commanded to love with all our heart, soul, and mind, this command requires our whole being to be in submission to representing the love of Jesus.
When this is challenged, let us be reminded that “..our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” .
How can we know this, or do we know this? and then turn to our family in anger?
How can we believe this and then turn to a friend in a fight and fight back?
Let our way of fighting be prayer and let our response be love… always.
Let’s Pray:
Lord God, thank you for loving us, because you loved us first, we are able to love.
Lord we ask that you would be the director of our steps, and the light upon our path.
May we deepen our love for you, and as our love deepens God, may love pour out of us and onto your people and your children o’ God.
Our expectation is for people who do not call you Father, that they would come to experience you and come to know you because of your love in us.
May we be the light to everyone we encounter.
You are the truth, the way, and the light.
Have your way in us o’ God, for yours in the kingdom, the glory, and the honor is yours, in Jesus name, Amen.
Action:
Monitor yourselves this week.
What triggers you to step out of love?
Submit those moments to God, repent, and ask Him in those moments to transform and renew your mind, and that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” for that kind of moment in the future.
