It’s an exciting day! We’re one week from launch…next week. Want to talk to you today about LOST & FOUND. Our mission is clear and simple. WE’RE HELPING PEOPLE FIND AND FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST.

Have you ever lost something? I have LOST stuff. NOT just misplacing something. I'll misplace stuff all the time…I’ve probably asked my family “have you seen my airpods” or my “car key” a thousand times…I misplace them.

A while back though I LOST my drivers license…I looked everywhere…ripped the house a part. The WORST part is that I had to fly out the next day…so hear I was boarding a plane for quick trip to Oregon and I had to use my passport. A couple week later I receive my replacement in the mail

As bad as it is to LOSE something its so SWEET to find it.

Suddenly I become suspicious of everyone.

When we lose something we have feelings of frustration / fear / uncertainty But

when you find something you’ve lost you have these sweet feelings of VICTORY.

But when you find something.

I think a lot of times we don’t just lose things.

We lose our true identity

We lose our way.

We lose sight of our purpose

We lose our

We lose

THE BEAUTY THOUGH GOD IS BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL OF THESE LOST THINGS.

HE SPECIALIZES IN FINDING LOST THINGS.

NOT JUST THAT

HE’S AN EXPERT AT RESTORING PEOPLE

HE’S LIKE THAT ONE GUY WHEN YOU’RE AT THE BEACH WHO IS COMBING THE BEACH WITH A METAL DETECTOR. HE FINDS STUFF.

IN Jesus told 3 stories to help people know how he viewed LOST things. And I want to look at one this morning:

New Living Translation Chapter 15

Parable of the Lost Coin

8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and sweep the entire house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”

The coin Jesus is referring to would have been very valuable equivalent to an entires days work for this woman. Jesus is telling this story to help us understand lost things.

You’re valued by God. Genesis says we are created in his likeness. He sent Jesus for you. He loves you.

It’s not an accident you’ve been on this journey with us to launch Highmark - God has you here to pursue your purpose. He has you here to step into a new season, to grow, to be a leader. God loves you so much

Every person has as value & they are her on purpose

Every person is valuable

We can’t just look at ourselves as valued by God we have to see everyone around us. We have to see them the way God sees them - as valuable.

Sweep under - Urgency & Diligent.

You were worth Jesus dying on the cross. He wanted to be in relationship with you. He made a way for us to be in relationship with him.

Every person is worth the effort

Whatever it takes to reach the next one..and the next one…ALL OF HEAVEN REJOICES
