ARE YOU A STUMBLING BLOCK?

It should be of no surprise to Christians, that they are one of the reasons people have no interest in Jesus Christ.
That’s because the way some proclaimed Christians lives there life.
A Christian’s Testimony is a valuable tool for the Lord.
It tells people the how Jesus Christ has changed your life. A Testimony is powerful because, it’s a story about moving from death to life.
Your Personal Testimony is a way to share the gospel with others. It gives others an example of how God has changed your life.
The problem is many Christians have a hard time living for the Lord, they stumble and fall and they become stumbling blocks to others.
The Devil makes sin look ENTICING, so, we start living like the world.
1. We pick up the habits of this world.
2. We pick up the language of this world.
3. We pick up the cares of this world.
God tells Christians not to conform to this world, to be separate of this world, to be Christ Like.
Romans 14:13 KJV 1900
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

I. WHEN YOU GET SAVED, YOU ARE MADE NEW!

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV 1900
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
What does that mean to be Made New?
Brand New Person inside,
The Holy Spirit now dwells in you.
We are a new creation living in union with Jesus Christ,
Colossians 2:6–7 KJV 1900
6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:
We turned over a new leaf,
We are beginning a new life under new management,
Not only are believers changed from within, there’s a new covenant,
A new perspective
A new body.
My Question is DOES YOUR LIFE REFLECT THIS NEW PERSPECTIVE?
This Morning I want us to reflect on our life’s and answer some important question about our life.
Only you and the Lord knows the truth on how you are living your life.
Only you and the Lord knows if you are truly saved
Only you and the Lord knows if you are backsliding
Be honest with yourself as we go along.

II. I’M I A STUMBLING BLOCK TO OTHERS?

A Stumbling Block - Refers to something or someone who keeps another from a relationship with God.
How’s Your Testimony?
Are you glorifying the Lord at all time, or do you just praise His name at church?
Or do you just praise His name at church?
Are you faithful to the Lord, or just when it is convenient for you?
Are you going to places that would be questionable and not Christ like?
People are watching us.
If people know you claim to be a Christian, they are watching for that change in your testimony.
What do they expect from a Christian?
To know something about the Bible.
They expect you to love the Bible.
Sin keeps us out of the Bible.
To be different.
On the job, too many Christians have the same old habit.
The lost has a right to expect you not to curse, gripe, tell dirty stories, or dress like to world.
The lost of the world may want you to drink a beer with them, however they expect you to turn it down.
We have to watch our testimonies.
To be faithful in God’s house.
The lost has a right to expect you to go to church on Sunday.
If your a born again you shouldn’t miss church to go
Fishing
Hunting
Watch your favorite football team playing in the playoffs.
Or any other excuse to miss church.
To pray
The lost has has a right to expect you to say grace at a restaurant.
If you tear into that McDonald’s hamburger without saying grace you insult your Heavenly Father in front of the lost.
Even if they will not listen to you when you witness, they have a right to expect your prayers.
To Control Your Temper
If you lose your temper and curse out your boss, you owe the lose an apology as well as your boss.
I know your not perfect, but you are saved
Again, the only way to help here is to say, “I have Sinned and I am Sorry.”
Not to be stuck up
Let me remind you that you are no better than anyone else.
You are not better than the lost.
The difference between you and them is Jesus. Don’t forget that.
Even in church some folks think they are better.
Let me me tell you something.
If you got what you deserved you would be on your way to Hell.
The only good one is the Lord Jesus Christ.
There’s nothing worse than an old stuck up Christian.
To Witness
Even if they don’t listen, they have a right to expect you to witness to them.
They expect you to care for the soul.
The only time some co-worker hears God’s name is when someone curses.
It’s a sham when a Christian curses in front of the lost.
You need to fall on your knees and beg the Lord for forgiveness.
One day at the Great White Throne Judgment, they are going to be pointing their finger at you and say, “Why didn’t you tell me about Jesus?”
Don’t blame it on the last days, blame it on a cold heart and laziness.
By the way, do you love your lost family and friends enough to see them saved?
Face the ridicule, it’s worth it.
Remember, when a love one dies, it’s Heaven or Hell!
It’s time to answer the question!
Are you a Stumbling Block to others?
Is your heart right with God ?
Are you giving 110% to the Lord?
Are you serving the Lord only when it is convent to you?
Are you Faithful to God?
Are your hands going to be innocent of blood before the Lord?
You say, “What Are You Talking About?”
Ezekiel 3:18–21 KJV 1900
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. 20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
Ezekiel 3:
So what is your answer?
If you can answer one with a yes, you need to get right with God, today!
